Thank you for this info!! What is the process going to look like as Manchin tries to attach this deal to the NDAA, and what can other Senators do to stop it? I am very confused by some of the inner workings of this deal. Is it likely to happen? Also, will Mr. Rosenberg's presentation be recorded?

No idea on how this process will play out--honestly I didn't even know about this until this AM. As for Simon Rosenberg's thing, yes, I'm sure it will be. I'd register for it, as they usually send a recording to registrants after the fact.

Done and Done. By the way, the link worked famously. My email opened on a new message in my account with your script which I was able to easily edit to personalize and send.

That's generally how it works. It's really only a problem if people have a VPN.

Thanks for posting the quick email option. I just sent it, and included this before the last sentence: "Here in Georgia, I and many like me have been killing ourselves for months to get Senator Raphael Warnock re-elected. You're Welcome."

I hate to be cynical, but I expect the Senate runoff in Georgia will have a strong effect on the outcome of Manchin's ploy. If Warnock wins, Shumer can tell Manchin to pound sand, and I believe the NDAA will not be affected. If Warnock loses, this ploy may be Manchin's latest demand to keep caucusing with Democrats in the Senate, and Shumer may have little choice.

Yes, the same occurred to me. It's probably why Manchin is pushing for a vote today. Hopefully Schumer has the wherewithal to postpone it.
