Jess, thanks for making it easy to take action and to lift up the need to counteract this craziness. But I have a question - why aren't healthcare professionals and mental healthcare professionals speaking out?
I'll jump in here as a family doc who just learned from a friend about this website (thanks Jessica!) Healthcare workers are not in control of healthcare in this country. It is a for-profit industry tailored to the rich, making more money the sicker We (The People) are. It is based on treating symptoms (often ineffectively) with expensive pharmaceuticals and procedures, not on prevention or mental health or the greater good. Our health has been politicized, and healthcare providers do not have any power (yet) to change that. The best answer is Medicare for All, yet the legislature will not even address it.
This is great Jessica! Thank you for putting all this information in one place. I work for a pretty big Silicon Valley company that has offices in Texas. They are one of the best when it comes to corporate responsibility and social responsibility and I am wondering if it makes sense or would be worth trying to get corporate support for these kinds of campaigns. My other thought was to send emails from my company email if that would make a difference. Wondering your thoughts if one is better than the other and I will continue getting in touch.
That would be great. I know they are in touch with everyone there and are aware of all the horrific laws they're passing. But I don't know if they are willing to do that. I can put out some feelers!

They are! Doctors across the state are horrified.

Oh absolutely. That's why I have been part of the coalition working to pass AB 1600 here in CA. Unfortunately it got killed, but we won't stop trying.

I mean, the best thing would be for your company to publicly speak out against the bill...not sure if they're willing to go that far.
That would be great. I know they are in touch with everyone there and are aware of all the horrific laws they're passing. But I don't know if they are willing to do that. I can put out some feelers!
Done! Thank you!
Amazing thank you!
Great job, thank you. Dose USAA belong on this list?
Not sure--are they based in Texas?
Yes, Headquarters in San Antonio. I believe they have supported some the Texas Republican politicians.

Wrote letters to each of the big companies to protest trans policies. Thank you for the template; I modified each one for greater impact.
Thank you for the tools to keep weighing in
