The USA finally, 50 odd years after China, approved a birth control pill as available over the counter without a prescription. As a physician, I urged such since 1977; even I was a bit slow on the uptake. Celebrate our falling birth rates as many tribes have instinctively recognized the pressure our overpopulation places on each other and our planet, including such a treasure as the San Gabriel Mountains. Also include the stress on the Colorado River Basin, Lake Meade, and Hoover Dam electricity.
