Made the call to Walgreen's Executive office....and it felt great to speak to a "real" person to be able to let them know, they have lost me and my friends as customers .

What an incredible show of solidarity and support. I saw the movie Witness (with Harrison Ford) for the first time a few years ago and that scene when everyone shows up is so powerful because showing up in life is everything and it can often stop wrongdoing in its tracks. Deeply appreciate that Mj and their friends understand this too.

I love that story of solidarity ,,in spite of the fear, & static,,,reminds me of some of the times I stood on the model stand,,and if I had a negative thought in my head about my body or looked around the room and had some worry,,almost like magic some one would say something or laughter could be heard,,this was where I first , started learning about meditation,,and how my silent deep thoughts, were being reflected back to me through the eyes of the world around me.

I had to wait for the tears to stop before I could type this and share. Thank you Jessica. Don't ever doubt the power of your stories to change the world. One story at a time. Ok off to FB and Twitter. Blessings,

Moving story and Mj and friends, both heartbreaking and inspiring.

Today at 1 PM Mountain I called Walgreens and the woman who answered said that I had reached CEO Brewer's office. Using Jess's script I spoke my piece. (Thanks, Jess!) I also asked how many calls like mine she is receiving, and she said: "Yours is the first one today."

I sure hope that's not true! Gotta encourage friends and family to call and write. Today's Robert Hubbell edition did NOT mention yesterday's Chop Wood, Carry Water, that had Walgreens contact info. He’s one who could take stronger action; I'll write him.

Last week two older students rushed into a classroom and began beating up a younger student. The younger student had a knife and. stabbed one of the assailants and the assailant died from the stabbing. The school board had asked for input from students and parents and others, as to the best way to maintain safety in the schools, and they had strongly recommended that public safety officers, which had been present in the past, be rehired. The school board, even though they had asked for input, decided not to follow the recommendations of the committee. Now there is absolute outrage about how unsafe this high school is, the students are upset, the boy who was killed, has been talked about as a wonderful, sweet kid, and yet the child who was attacked, has not been talked about at all. What the hell is going on?

I spoke to Chantelle (sp?) at Walgreens' CEO's office.

Too bad the graphic misspelled the name of Rosalind Gates Brewer as "Rosalid." (Sigh.)

Beautiful column today! Once again, the next generations shows us how to be brave!

I tried Walgreens - no luck. Their mechanical answering service could not understand me when I asked for the CEO. After several tries, they said I'd be transferred to an operator and...cut me off.

BUT Chuy Garcia's office (I'm ne to the district; first call) was great. Thanks for your great work.
