Hi, all, and happy Friday! Robert Collier, an American self-help author born in the 19th century, once said: “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” I couldn’t agree more. In fact, that’s what we’re doing here! Creating success through small efforts, taken several days of the week.
Hi Jessica and any followers who might know the answer - I was really interested in the DNC War Room articles linked here - but going to the DNC site, I can't find how to see all of the War Room articles. Is there an archive or a feed that i can subscribe to receive the articles? Thanks for any suggestions.
Yeah that web site is weird. If you email me your email address at hijesscraven101@gmail.com I will see if I can get you added to the mailing list if you want. They will send you stuff almost every weekday.
A commenter on either Robert Hubbell's or Heather Richardson's posting today expressed concern over the value of letters to Congresspeople and indicated that frustration was driving them away from the strategy. I made reassuring noises but am wondering if there is any statistical or anecdotal evidence of the impact of these contacts.
I have heard from the offices of ALL of my reps that phone calls make a big difference and they do listen to them. Of course if MTG or someone of her ilk represents you there may be little point in calling, but even then--these folks work for US! I think it's really important and even critical that we let them know what we want whether they listen or not. But rest assured that many of them do. Also, yes, phone calls are the best--other than office visits--with letters next in line.

That Walgreens thing was super easy. Done! And thanks for the optimism boost.
Yay thanks!

Thanks Jessica. My rep isn't quite as bad as MTG, thankfully. Phone calls will continue.
Several analyses have shown that calls are more effective than letters.
Thanks. That helps.
