As an Asian-American, and this on the beginning of the Lunar New Year, it is just shattering. I saw the headline last night and still cannot bring myself to read the details. But when nothing changed after Sandy Hook, it is not surprising that these mass killings continue to be a part of American life, regardless of who the perpetrators are or what types of firearms were used.

Only hours after Monterey Park, eight people were killed in Shreveport. The reaction from that city's mayor was that he was "disappointed". Therein lies one of the problems. There are too many who think that people should automatically have self-control, when it comes to the use of firearms. Delusional thinking is as much of a problem as the LACK of self-control.
