Mental health day whahooo! Oh man. If you can take one so can we all! Thanks Jess. And by the way everyone. If you want a great listen to Heather Cox Richardson, go to you tube. It’s from Nov 12. A tiny bit out dated. But she gives a great overview of what she thinks Trump can and cannot do. Also advice for activists. And as always no drama and no anxiety.

It's a truly amazing program, as most of hers are. I have sent it out to over 80 people I know in my community, it is that good. Clare gave the link, above.

I sent them this (which I’d also sent to my R senators)

I support the release of the report from the House Judiciary Committee into Matt Gaetz. I rarely agree with R. Senator John Cornyn, but I do in this case. I urge you to do the same.

“I think there should not be any limitation on the House Judiciary Committee’s investigation, including whatever the House Ethics Committee has generated,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that would assess Gaetz’s nomination, told reporters on Wednesday. Cornyn added that he “absolutely” wanted to see the Ethics panel’s findings.

Feel free to use it!

For anyone in MI, Debbie Stabenow's office has shut down her online comment form. Her office told me it's because she's retiring and they're shutting down the office. When I said, "So she doesn't care about her constituents' opinions or concerns for the next month and a half?!?," the flippant answer was, "Well, our phones are obviously still open." I find this outrageous, since I expect there are people who are unable to call in questions or concerns, for various reasons. I think others from MI should call in complaints about this lack of constituent service. Thanks.

CTA! Ohioans, contact Governor Mike DeWine’s office daily with the request that he appoint AN APPROPRIATE replacement to JD Vance’s Senate seat, not a MAGA-extremist.

I’m specifically asking that he appoint Sherrod Brown, as his Trump-endorsed opponent only won 50.2% of the vote.

I’ve been emailing a letter daily to Gov DeWine as well as to the Dem Gov Assoc asking them to engage with him on the topic.

Donating to Jason Berlin's R & R is the best thing I will do all day for my mental health 💕

If you have never attended a Field Team 6 event to see Jason, he has the biggest heart.

Thanks for setting this up Jess.

So glad you are taking a day of rest. You deserve it. I admire your unstoppable pace, but the day is so needed to recharge your batteries and for R&R. In fact, if you do, like me, I hope and think that you will have more energy and incisiveness on your work days --as I found out when I was a workaholic , perfectionist lawyer.

I mean to be honest I will likely not be “off” completely, but it will be a lighter day and that in and of itself will be a help.

Please do not belittle what you are doing re taking one day off per week from 'just the newsletter.' I have written a newsletter before, although years ago and mostly full of book club meetings and other similar items. However, it was still a ton of work to organize and very stressful at times.

And just the fact you are giving yourself permission to take care of yourself, even if it looks like in a small way, gives all of us permission to do the same, without guilt, without criticism of ourselves, etc. So Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah!! Jessica is taking a day off every Wednesday!

So, people, when are you going to be as kind to yourselves as she is to herself?? If she can do it for one day a week and hers and our lives do not fall apart, and the world does not come screeching to a halt, then I think we can all muster it, too.
