Just donated to Kamala Harris's campaign.

I also wrote a note to our president via the White House form: https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/share/

Dear President Biden. Thank you for your extraordinary service and the true leadership you've shown this country. I'm so angry at the mainstream media and the elite megadonors; I'm one of the everyday people who was fighting for your continued candidacy. But I remain grateful for all you've done and how you continue to lead by example, for all that is good and right. I'm grieving right now, but will quickly turn my energies to supporting Kamala Harris and all the other democratic candidates. Thank you.

I wrote, too. Not as eloquent as your beautiful letter, but equally heartfelt.

President Biden wasn't my first choice in the 2020 primary season, but I was so glad to be proven wrong. He's an extraordinary President. (not that I haven't disagreed vehemently with some of his actions, but he has done so much good)

My feelings precisely. Thank you! Grieving is essential and I will turn it into action. Postcards are a wonderful way to stay involved. Outrage toward MSM, action towards getting Kamala et al elected. Now.

FWIW, my 20-year-old daughter immediately texted me after the announcement to ask if she could write postcards for Harris!

You have reflected my feelings exactly--- i see the potential for a more powerful ticket while the R are stuck with 2 duds. I am thinking that there should be a cabinet post for Joe, if he wants it, to keep him involved in the process he has managed so well.

I'm sad. I'm mad. I 100% support Kamala. I donated to her today to show my support for her nomination. But I feel like the attacks on Biden by the mega donors, elite democrats and mainstream media were also a direct attack on me, my vote, my choices. He did not deserve this treatment. It was a truly shameful episode and I hope voters hold them accountable in 2026 and beyond. I think we can and will win this, but I am just feeling a lot of emotions right now.

I've already donated $200 since the announcement. I've been all in on Kamala Harris for weeks tbh so I am happy that we can unite to get her elected and defeat the orange felon. And I acknowledge that this is a bittersweet moment. I'm very grateful to President Biden for his years of service and his decision to step aside to save the party and democracy.

Like you, I'm happier with the result than the process, but that's all too often how Democrats work. I donated and will continue to do so because the alternative is still unacceptable, damaged ear or not. A united Democratic party that supports Joe Biden as President loudly and publicly and gives equal weight to Kamala Harris and her running mate as candidates is a power that the MAGA infested Republicans will be unable to stand against.

I'm having lots of feelings and I'll never get over how shitty people have been to the best president of my lifetime.

All Democratic leadership needs to endorse Kamala now. We don't have a moment to spare to make up for the knife fight we've been in. Trump and Putin are counting on us to drag this out. We can't let it go on any longer

Same. I know what I need to do. And I will.

Hard to trust the “machinery.”

What a strong and pure heart Joe Biden has.

He has made “hope and history rhyme.”

Donated as well. Although disappointed, I will support Kamala Harris (or who ever becomes the Democratic nominee). This election is not about one candidate. This is about whether we, our children and our grandchildren, live in a Democracy or in a corrupt Authoritarian Dictatorship. It's just that simple.

The donation page you sent for Kamala still says this will support Joe Biden. Let’s change that. Thanks for providing.

I'm so relieved & excited for our promising future! Will you consider putting out something to convince Dem officials to NOT hold an open convention? I can't believe anyone's really considering such an unnecessary self-imploding thing but apparently they are. I want to encourage them to avoid it - Dems are on a roll, let's not muck it up!

Will Kamala benefit most from naming her own VP or having an open convention to pick her VP? Love, Doc

100% percent behind Kamala Harris for President.

We ‘re still the only Biden/Harris sign in our MAGA peninsula community of almost 800. Plan to keep the sign until the replacement arrives. May circle/highlight Harris in some way but won’t cross out the greatest president of my lifetime…

We'll still get it done. I am disappointed, but I also feel a sense of relief that now the infighting can stop and we can all unite behind one candidate. Plus they can't say she's too old, she's perfect president age. And that was the one thing they had to use against us.

Antoinette's avatar

The infighting will not be stopped just yet. The same people who wanted Biden out don't want Kamala either. We still have lots of work to do to get her the nomination.
