Excited about a space to chat. Thank you for your hard work. You and your followers helped me send 710 letters and 250 postcards to voters.

Thank you all!

At 73 years old and with mobility issues, I have been working with the residents of the assisted living facility I am living in. Have been able to help 6 people obtain ballots and support for the physically challenged to fill in the bubbles on their ballots. I had 5 baseball caps made up with VOTE as the message .

There are now 4 other people walking around with the message, and I taught them how to access voter information to help others vote by phone banking and postcard writing.

I have bought stamps for others to write postcards. I am looking forward to saving democracy one vote at a time.

Hi Jess - I don’t see your comment but if I followed the instructions and am in the right place, here’s what I’m doing over the next week: daily shifts on the DNC national voter protection hotline, tons of texting to PA and TX.

Absolutely fantastic! This is still the regular comments thread, though. If you are a paid subscriber and have the Substack app you should have gotten a notification on it yesterday?

yes, I got your email but apparently couldn't figure out how to enter the comment on the paid subscriber comment section.

Do you have the Substack app?

I tried to access the chat feature, but it appears that it is not yet a feature for the android version of the app. Thought you'd like to know.

IF REPUBLICANS WIN, YOU LOSE... I just tried Googling this really good meme (which was mentioned on Robert Hubbell's post yesterday) figuringΒ someone in the universe had created some memes and there are none!!! We need to flood Facebook and Twitter etc with this message but I don't know how to do it!Β I am not that computer or word savvy, but wondering if some (or many) people on your list could make something so we could share them STAT.Β

IF REPUBLICANS WIN, YOU LOSE...

* The right to safe legal abortion (the GOP is proposing a national ban)

* Student loan forgiveness (6 GOP Attorney Generals are fighting Biden's loan forgiveness program in court)

* Social Security & Medicare (the GOP is proposing "sunset" legislation which would mean these programs would have to be reauthorized every five years)

* Affordable Health Care (the GOP attempt to repeal this in 2017 lost by only one vote!)* Price caps on insulin and other prescription drugs (GOP members have announced plans to try to repeal this legislation)

* Our Democracy (300+ Republican candidates refuse to accept that the 2020 election was won by Biden, despite 61 lawsuits all showing that the election was fair)

There also will be NO CHANCE for

*Child care tax credits and DACA (Republicans refused to back this legislation)Β

*A chance to give our children and grandchildren a livable worldΒ

Republicans claim they have a better plan for inflation and gas prices, but have provided no plan at all. Inflation & higher gas prices are a worldwide problem due to supply chain disruptionsΒ caused by Covid & Putin's war in Ukraine -- and are even worse in other countries including England (which is governed by the Conservative Party.)Β Β

Republicans also claim they are the law and order party - but crime is actually worse in red states and Republicans refuse to enact common sense gun laws like outlawing AK-47s.

For our families and our future, VOTE DEMOCRATIC

If anyone wants to make these, let me know!!

OK you inspired me to stop what I was doing and make a Tiktok. It's going to make me very late but I think it was worth it. I'll post when it uploads.
