He’s going to Republican districts and speaking truth to their constituents. The coward republicans aren’t willing to do this. That’s a pretty big deal given what’s going on. It all adds up.
Nope. He IS IN CONGRESS. He's going around saying the same thing he said on this video-- that WE should do something. Dont be taken in by this bs'ers. He's supposed to do something IN HIS job.
It is THE PEOPLE’S job, now, to do the work. Not congress. NOW is the time for WE THE PEOPLE mentioned in the constitution to hit the streets and show Reds that we mean business and their seats are up for auction.
We elected these officials, now WE hold them accountable for their seats.
So you're saying, what, we should wait a year and a half til there may possibly be a fair election in which possible the Dems may take the House? What will that do? Barring a supermajority in the Senate and retaking of the House, what will that do? Meanwhile all the trouble the republicans caused the last 4 yrs, you think the Dems are powerless? You think they should just sit there and tell us how bad it is?? Go ahead and wait your year and a half, see how many people you will tolerate get sent to el salvador, or how many tens of thousands of Gazans will suffer/die.
I've heard him speak in the House Committee on Oversight & Accountability and believe me, he IS doing his job holding the Republicans' feet to the fire.
I am completely unfamiliar with this Congressman and now I LOVE him!
This interview has made me feel better about my efforts and has inspired me to keep calling, writing and protesting! Thank you….you’re a gem Jess! 💙🇺🇸💙
He seems energetic and on the right side. If he knew the ins and outs of Medicare, I think he and everyone who calls for Medicare for all would rephrase that. Medicare is one of those programs that needs to be made better when the left takes power.
I have experience in the medical field, and I would say Medicare works pretty well for what it is. And for the fact that is underfunded and that’s not its fault!
We need to be the opposition party , the Democratic Party DNC has betrayed us in serious ways . Truth telling about it is needed. You cannot be two sides of the same coin .
Wow. Casar is a powerhouse. Loved his mastery of history, his willingness and directive to pick fights, his feedback about calls, etc., mattering, and the energy he puts into a balanced analysis of where we are and where we must go. Thanks for this interview, Jessica.
It is up to the people, but when leadership of the Democratic Party dithers, it impacts our sense of unity. Our dear leaders should fake it until we make it.
Here's what I think we need to do: Expand Social Security to give work credits to single moms who stayed home with their own kids. My SS payment is currently $353 a month after starting work when I was 13 (54 years ago). It could be higher if I were still disabled, but then half of all my earnings would still be deducted every month, making me more disabled rather than less. I shouldn't have to pretend to continue to be disabled in order to obtain a bare minimum benefit.
Grassroots Is a major part of the solution. And I'm thrilled you are saying this. As you both understand grassroots organizing is not about doorbelling and signing petitions. It's about bringing groups of people together to accomplish something...it could be to help the DNC figure out who and what they are. The answer is ground up, not top down. Top down will be just more of the same.
I just read the Voter Movement project report and in their 6-7 goals for the future it assumes we are for democratic values...which are exactly what? How do we say it? it doesn't once say figure out what we are for. And yet it is the #1 things said to me when I talk to people about their frustration with the democrats. Thier grassroots portion says they know they need to organize, but they don't have a goal, nor do they clearly state that if the grassroots come up with an idea that they will be all in on supporting the idea.
This would be great grassroots work. Slow, not election based, but the real work. We create a sense of belonging, groups take on their own local actions which could have nothing to do with
doorbelling. (For example MAGA taught communities how to lobby their school boards to ban books, they also taught people from around the country to become watchdogs in their elections. these people were doing things together, for things they really believed in. They feel like they belong.
We are doing nothing like this.
Thank you so much for talking about grassroots work. Real grassroots work. It can be done, there are people all across the country who have been trying to do it for a very long time. But top down leadership drowns us out.
Great interview! Democrats have a shit ton of work to do, but I know they can win America back. They need to be just as forceful.
They refuse to be as forceful, they refuse to advocate for follwing the law, pelosi wouldnt do it even when she had the power
I know, but it is up to us to be forceful too.
Such as... ?
And he just spent 20 mins saying he is doing absolutely nothing.
He’s going to Republican districts and speaking truth to their constituents. The coward republicans aren’t willing to do this. That’s a pretty big deal given what’s going on. It all adds up.

so, just words? no talk of impeachment, no calls for votes on it, no blocking anything?
You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I see someone who's working hard to rise to the occasion.
I am completely unfamiliar with this Congressman and now I LOVE him!

Amazing! Glad you liked it. And him!
Great interview!
Thank you!
Love Cesar. Great communicator, leads with integrity, demonstrates strength and focus, and is an excellent representative and inspirational leader. 🔥
Agree! He seems great!
Thank You. Democrats need to lay out a plan!

stop talking about next year when your party is refusing to even back filing impeachment -- you wont even make that statement. Appalling.
I definitely want more videos! These are so helpful. So grateful more and more Congress members, senators are liking the idea of Medicare for All.
How is this helpful? He's saying he's doing NOthing!! If he has you convinced, he's conning you.
Hi
Great interview and Casar is terrific! He also has the weirdest gerrymandered district in Texas.

Too? They are not being forceful, and they certainly are not talking about themselves being forceful.
