Fantastic, so much great news! I'm so exhausted by Trump but stuff like this gives me fuel for the final push in this election. Thanks, as always.

FWIW, Simon Rosenberg now recommends we all ignore Nate Silver as he is likely not acting in good faith and up to something shady. I only learned this very recently.

Totally. Actually, really don’t even know why I put the good polls in. old habit. But I largely ignore them.

According to msn, Nate Silver's 538 is funded by Peter Thiel.

That’s about the best explanation. I was wondering if he has a brain worm or became a Russian agent.

Silver has been problematic for several years now for many reasons, glad the word is finally getting out there.

That item is personal, the one about the Colorado Vehicle Exchange Program: In April I turned in our family's basically mothballed but still running 2001 Ford Windstar and got a $4,000 voucher. With the utility company Xcel's $3,000 voucher, I got $7,000 off a 2017 Nissan Leaf that was listed for $7,888... Out of pocket total after taxes etc. was $1,438. Great program!! (I was already getting around almost entirely on an e-bike, but don't tell anyone ha ha.)

Thank you again for another much-needed uplift. I've been SO disheartened the last few days because I feel like I'm seeing more and more Trump signs. It feels like the cult is growing, not shrinking. Very hard to stay optimistic right now; this helps.

I needed this too—this AM I was walking my doggo and a neighbor we are friendly with (very old white man, retired firefighter—I am a middle aged white lady) approached me with a rump shirt on to ask a question—I told him I had a real problem with his shirt, he continues to ask his “question” which was regarding hoa rules about putting up election signs, of course! I told him I didn’t know and walked away, disgusted. I am done being nice or amenable to these racists.

As I have read from several sources, not all Trumperz are racists, but all racists are Trumperz.

At this point anyone supporting him or vance you are racist, it is that simple.

Hoping that the young people will step up. That they prioritize action on climate change is totally appropriate. So do I even though I won’t be living in the heat and disruption nearly as long as they will.

“Some 40 percent of young U.S. voters across political affiliations say they will only support a candidate who prioritizes climate action, according to new polling data conducted by Beacon Research on behalf of the nonpartisan Environmental Voter Project in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.”

Much news I didn't know-- thank you. Regarding the 3 million investment in Spanish-speaking radio, I heard a report today on LAst radio hat there's been tampering with truth, the disinformation--sources unclear?) An Associated Press article also discusses "misinformation" to Latino voters: https://apnews.com/article/2024-election-misinformation-latinos-radio-arizona-563ff36ba39d38d55eeb5d29d93d400e.

The disinformation discussed on Last radio Los Angeles, California, includied the made-up story that anyone with tattoos will be able to do abortions, and something about late month, 8 or 9 month abortions that would be legalized if a democrat won, and that Democrats will cause femininicide (spelling?)-the killing of women in society.

All false, per the researcher, but influencing especially older women and ipeople whose native countries have high levels of femininicide--something of great concern to women from Latin countries where it is prominent. The researcher said that all this disinformation is false, and that actually U.S. has a high rate of femininicide for a developed country but it's home grown. The disinformation about immigrants being criminals, which has been shown untrue and the opposite to be true, also is being spreading believed..

Spanish-language radio has been a central source for these lies for some time now, I am glad something os being done even if it’s just an ad buy. Also Brian Tyler Cohen has a Spanish version on his YouTube channel.
