The tireless owner of Minocqua Brewing in Wisconsin, who’s been fiercely targeted by his local far-right politicians, put up a second billboard in Milwaukee this week with the help of beer/democracy-lovers .The billboards NOPE NOT IN MILWAUKEE ! will stay up throughout the GOP National Convention. Locals can also purchase yard signs and Biden Beer, of course !🪧🍺

Yes, and I love his message…

“This sign is merely a sign, and it won't do the hard work of organizing and reminding voters to cut through the immense misinformation campaigns coming from conservative media, but it can give us all a little hope and a little confidence that there's MANY MORE OF US that see through the manipulation of an entire political party, and that we're stronger than them-- even though they often scream more loudly than we do.”

Damn, I love that guy!!! Worth the trip from my house to Minocqua just to be able to have Biden beer to sip on my deck on 4th of July!

I tried to copy the link to share on X, but when I entered the link, it didn't bring up the ad.It brought up an interview with the head of the Seneca Projects. I left a message. I hope they fix this. I want to share every day until the election!!

The BEST news is that the MAGA fog machine has nothing to attack Joe Biden on except his age. Take that to mean the MAGA world recognizes Biden has had an astounding 1st term. Now the only reason left to not to vote for Joe is the risk he's too old to deliver again in his second term. I'll take that bet 24 hours a day, every day through Nov. Tell anyone you know who's undecided. Go Joe. Go Dems.

I love these Sunday positive posts and the Seneca ad is still making me tear up. Without the excellent prenatal and delivery care my daughter got in Montana she would be dead. We are absolutely NOT going back.

Temecula, California extremist school board president Komrosky was successfully recalled in Temecula this week! A huge win for this city. Two good, reasonable trustees now the majority. Trustee elections will happen in November so our work still continues, of course, but this is a win!

Did you work on the recall?

Jess, credit goes to a small group of Black mothers who initiated the recall and the involvement of 1TVPAC who rallied the community to come together. Here's their recall results statement: https://onetvpac.com/comms/the-successful-recall-of-tvusd-school-board-member-joe-komrosky . I played a very small part as a community members in her 70"s who cares about our kids and our city.

Jess, as always, huge thanks to you for compiling the weekly good news. I was especially heartened to note that Florida Dems are fielding candidates in every contest this year! OMG, that is just the best news.

Add to that the good items on climate from around the planet including the union organizing among EPA employees and wowza!

I had to do topical chemo on my face last week. Nothing serious - but it is major league uncomfortable to say the least. Thanks for giving me something to celebrate! Best distraction there is.

Jessica, please ask your husband to say the word "ax" when he reads the Extra! Extra! items which have an ax. I had to read along with the audio to get that, which sort of defeats the purpose of having an audio version.
