Soooooo much fantastic winning here. My favorite is the citizen-led PRIDE 🏳️🌈 lighting of the bridge in Jacksonville! Inspiring and energizing. We can all do this type of nonviolent civic action. Together, we will win in November!!!
Is there a way I can communicate w you privately? I have a condo in DC I can offer for your next trip. Sorry but I was w/o WiFi for a while when your invitation to DC came up but I wld be honored for you to use it for a future opportunity - or vacation, w/o charge, of course!
Thanks, Jess ! Hapoy Pride Month.🌈 And thanks to all who helped Donna Deegan flip the mayorlal seat 💙 in Jacksonville !!
Speaking of billionaire wives:⬇️
“Elon Musk accused Jeff Bezos' ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, of destroying Western civilization with her philanthropy. Then she quietly doubled her donations.”
Jessica, thank you for continuing to send out this list through red eye flights...
Always a great list, but this time it's expecially wonderful for how many entries address the climate crisis. Some of my favorites were the Climate Capital Guidebook and the Biden administration working on keeping the price of inhalers down. So many entries now that help when talking to "undecided" voters.
Wow! What a newsletter! Thank you Jessica Craven 🙏😃 and readers, call bankers, protesters, supporters, T shirt wearers, writers, President Biden, Robert DeNiro, Melinda French Gates, Kimmel video , teenager in Mississippi, jurors, Alvin Bragg, Judge Merchan and so many more to thank and join in community.
Jess - I always get such a lift from your Chop Wood, Carry Water emails!! In particular, the good news report is such a pleasure to review. In reading today's report, my eye caught on the blurb about the 1,000 complaints that have been sent to Judge Aileen Cannon's court, seeking her recusal from the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. As a retired CIA officer, I have been FUMING about her delays and would love to add my complaint to the "flood." I wonder if you might have the contact information for her court - I do both email and snail mail letters. Thank you SO much, Liz Mehler
Rest stuff happening! Thanks for the updates, Jess. many moons ago, I used to work at the Natural History Museum. It’s where the Hope diamond is and the dinosaurs. i love DC but sorry to hear that your AirB&B sucks. When do you return?
You know it turns out I jumped the gun on that judgement. The Airbnb was lovely. I just got a bad first impression of the neighborhood it was in--I was really, really tired and undercaffeinated at the time. And I didn't make it to the Natural history Museum--although I may have misspoken and said I did because again, undercaffeinated--I went to American History. Pretty cool!
"Thanks to pressure from the Biden administration, three of the world’s largest inhaler makers will cap the out-of-pocket cost for the most commonly used inhaler products at just $35 per month, lowering health care costs dramatically for millions of families impacted by asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions. " The third company to announce this was GSK. Their inhalers' prices have not changed as of today, June 3. I looked on their website - their announcement gives them until Jan.1, 2025 to do it. :(
I'm not on X, so I often miss the good stuff posted there. I will be sharing the Biden/harris post about 34 Reasons with my friends!
On the reader engagement front:
Vote Forward launched some new campaigns for Voter registration in NC, NV, and PA. Some are addressed to individuals and others to households which they believe have one or more unregistered residents. These are social campaigns targeted to under-represented voting blocks. These have a short deadline - June 12.
There are also still opportunity to write to Voters From Abroad - these letters must be mailed by July 11. (The Vote from Abroad campaign requires the use of global stamps which are sold in books of 10 for $15.50).
Go get 'em, Jess!!

I love her! And RR, too.
We saw him recently in Orlando on his Randy Rainbow for President tour. 😂 He gets my vote ! 💙
The Jimmy Kimmel video is great! This should be posted widely so people can see how Trump's lies played out to Biden's benefit.
