Another Good News item from Florida. The Florida Democratic Party has successfully qualified Democrats to run in every single state legislative race, in both houses, and in every Congressional district. It was a huge effort by the FDP, by grass roots activists and by several members of the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida. No Republican will run unopposed. This is historic.

I recently ran across a website that had downloadable QR codes that would take you to the voter registration portal for each state. This will give you a means to help people register to vote on the fly. An easy way to get young people registered is to ask them if they registered. If they answer No, ask if they are interested and pull up the QR code of the state you are in. . which you are living.

I have a sticker I bought in Etsy with a QR code that takes you to www.vote.org. I put it on the back of my phone, which serves the same purpose for getting people connected to the vote registration website. But you could use the downloadable QR code in your email signature or put it on your social media account.

This is an easy low effort form of activism. If enough of us practice it, we CAN increase voter registration.

Love this! Can I put in the newsletter? And do you have the link to the Etsy site?

Sure - I was hoping you would! ;-)

I'd also acknowledge the role of Independents and never-MAGA Republicans in Ohio (and other states) in helping to push back against an autocratic theocracy.

I'd also note Jessica Valenti's Sunday essay, calling for men to start standing up (with their voices and their votes) for their daughters, granddaughters, sisters, cousins, friends who are facing or will face increasing losses of reproductive health care (abortion, IVF, contraception). This is not just a women's issue...

Yes I liked that a lot.

I just looked up Jessica Valenti's essay on your and hw's endorsements. I like it very much and will be sharing it. Thank you both for the recommendation.
