This is good news. But we have to remain active and vigilant. The SAVE Act and other legislation like it still loom. Call call CALL your reps and senators!

We remain vigilant all week. And then on Sundays, we take a moment to relax and enjoy the good news. That’s how we keep morale high enough to keep going.

Our family was too sick to make it out on Saturday, so I decided to donate to the ACLU as our “action.” They really are getting it done!

Thank you so very much for keeping us all informed of so many, many happenings. I am happy for the Resistance Movement and in total support. I am 81 years old and not very physically active but do make phone calls as it is the best I am able to do. Saving our democracy is the collective goal. Happy to see so many Americans supporting the goal. We cannot give up or give in to tyranny. Thank you, again, for all of the time and effort you are giving. I will continue to read and embrace all of your always sane, intelligent, common sense and liberating writings.

Some may disagree, but I think David Hogg's announcement about the campaign to unseat do-nothing corporate Democrats is good news. The Republicans totally rebuilt their party, and (for some bonkers reason) it worked like gangbusters. We should do the same.

Just a caution: It's not enough to say that women are winning races (e.g., Barbara Lee won the Oakland mayor's race.) While women in leadership is a goal, the greater goal is women in leadership who align with our values. Instead: US Rep Barbara Lee (D-Calif) won the Oakland mayor's race. BTW, I REALLY appreciate your work. Thank you.

But she does align with our values, no?

Absolutely! But I think you have to SAY so. [We don't celebrate Linda McMahon, Kristi Noem, or Susie Wiles – all women that have achieved position and power.] It's not enough to say that a women was elected mayor of Oakland, not even that a Black woman was elected mayor of Oakland, but a woman of color that values what we value was elected as mayor of Oakland. 🙌

Yes, she does. I think Scott meant to give her a little more context!

I love reading the REAL truthful news you report. Thanks for keeping us informed. And, thank you for speaking at the 50501 rally in BH yesterday. It was truly an honor to meet you. Journalists like you help us hold on to hope. You are appreciated greatly.

Always my energy stockpile for the coming week! Sadly, & not to be negative Nelly, unless something has changed, the last I heard was that guy in the White House put a stop to the Empire Wind project. I sure hope my news is old bc this would be a really good thing.

Yes I learned that after the fact and deleted it from the online version. Bummer.

In reference to the folks who got their SS#s reinstated by proving they aren't dead, it deserves mentioning that changing the status of people from "alive" to "dead" is a knowing falsification of a federal record, which is a felony. So this business involved quite literally 6,100 felonies.

I love your Extra! Extra! because we need all the positive news and optimism we can get. Much as I wish your numbers were accurate, I do need to offer one correction. I was at the Bernie Sanders/AOC rally in Salt Lake City (which was incredible!) but there were 15,000 of us inside (capacity crowd for the Huntsman Center) + 5,000 outside who couldn't get in. So, 20,000 total. That said, a friend of mine who couldn't make it and was watching the livestream on Bernie's YouTube channel kept updating me on how many people were watching which topped out at 11,500. That probably represents even MORE people because YT records the number of "devices" tuned in and doesn't reflect when multiple people are watching the livestream together.
