Hi, all, and happy Sunday night! Here are some things to feel good about after a week of moderate chaos. Take it all in— enjoy. Remember, the news will focus on what’s going wrong. Most pundits will focus on the same. As will many influencers. And lots of regular Americans.
I love Hope in the Dark!!! It was such an inspiration when I first got involved as an activist. It definitely helps to frame our ongoing battles. I refer back to it regularly when I need feel centered.
“Hope In The Dark” by Rebecca Solnit, is one of my all time favorite books. Have read it multiple times in the last 2 decades. Have read almost all her other books as well. Love the way her brain works. “Hope” is definitely her most memorable. Thanks for bringing it up Jessica!
Always nice to have a little good news Jessica. Especially on a bright, sunny, not quite warm winter day. This year will be better and we'll still live in interesting times.
Good morning! Sunday 15 January is International Voter Registration Day. If you or someone you know is one of the 6.5 million US citizens living abroad, you need to request your overseas ballot annually. It's so easy to do! Go to www.votefromabroad.org on your smartphone and you can take care of the whole process start to finish in about 5 minutes! Please spread the word!
Thank you for all of these uplifting treasures!!! You - and they - are gems. Happy Monday morning from Spain. 🌟
