The news about Interior opening up the process for siting solar arrays on public land is good, but one wonders why we aren't putting systems on the millions of acres of government owned and financed buildings all over the country.
Well, we are to some extent, right? Did you see my piece about the Pentagon and solar? They're doing that on many, mnay government buildings. That's a start.
And a good start, we need to keep them at it, and I'd much rather see arrays in close proximity to users rather than having to add transmission infrastructure.
