I needed this spark of hope tonight! Thank you! I spent the afternoon productively researching CEO names and addresses. Tomorrow I begin a writing campaign to all of the companies publicly dropping DEI (eh hem Target). I am happy to shop exclusively at Costco from now on for both food and gas.

You took the words right outta my mouth, Jessica!

Yes, let’s amplify the appreciation for democracy-loving companies & tell the worst ones why they won’t be running our credit cards any time soon

Costco is a great company that treats their employees well! Have taken to ordering more and more from them online and less from Amazon. I gave up Amazon shopping for one week beginning on inauguration day. Going forward, I am looking for alternatives to whatever I need from companies that support ALL of us. Really disappointing to hear Target caved to ROT (my acronym for the current reign of terror) but rarely shop there anyway.

These are the best!! I am struck by the fact that at least one person has the guts and integrity to refuse 47’s blanket pardon …. a woman of course. And yes we need to practice joy. They hate joy; they feed on anger and fear. Let us not provide them with nourishment 😉

And now 2 have refused a pardon, saying to accept a pardon would mean that J6 was ok. This guy, from NH voted for Kamala

I read every word. This is wonderful. Also, I’m in Minnesota and an acquaintance I have is a MN state congressman has been keeping us abreast of the stupidity of rhe MN congressional republicans. I was so happy to see the Supreme Court of MN do the right thing here.

The republicans in the house and senate in Minnesota are engaged in a pr campaign to pin the current disfunction on the democrats. The republicans refuse to allow the seating of a newly elected representative in the house. When another election is held in March, the slim majority the republicans hold in the house will likely be gone. The republicans are using every opportunity to grab power and keep it….acting like they have a mandate…..just like their president. It is truly disgusting.

Yes it was so uplifting. Our ancestors overcame great adversity, and there’s no reason why we can’t do the same. A quote from John Lewis keeps replaying in my head: If not us, then who? If not now, then when?”

I love your letter tonight about all the great things we need to celebrate. Please make the correction to SPRINGDALE, AR (not Springfield) in the point about the bridge being renamed to honor Dr. King. We are very proud of the community activists and city council who made that happen. Thank you.

Super list today. I especially like the following four items on this weeks list.

The Minnesota Supreme Court handed Republicans a major defeat by striking down their illegitimate power grab. The Court ruled that a quorum in the Minnesota House of Representatives requires 68 members. The court’s ruling effectively invalidates every action Republicans took since the first day of session on January 14, 2025.

Twin Cities Pride, Minnesota’s second largest festival, is removing Target from its June LGBTQ+ celebration.

This week when federal employees were encouraged to report coworkers supporting DEI in the workplace, concerned citizens began flooding the email inbox with everything from song lyrics to pornography to the Bee movie script, making it impossible to navigate.

The Rev. Al Sharpton led a “buy-in” with over 100 National Action members at the Costco location in Harlem, NYC to show support for the company’s strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
