"Watermelon" seems to be a username for someone who has created petitions for Resistbot. You probably signed one of their petitions and also clicked a box or button that "subscribed" you to any future petitions from them. They currently have 11,000 (!) followers (which sounds like you might be one of them). I don't know any more than that, but it's interesting that you're getting actual texts from them since Resistbot tries to avoid text msgs due to the much higher cost than when ppl sign up/follow/subscribe via a social messaging app like WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram.
Hopefully by now you were able to reach them via the support email and yes, they are very responsive. I don't do most social media but I am in their Discord server.
Forgive a delayed response, Janet. I started to feel sick on Christmas eve and it increased as the day went on. Still not well and hoping to turn the corner little by little. Have felt badly not to return the kind wishes ... just haven't had the strength for much of anything.

I also want to say that my 12 year old gave me my best Christmas present-a banned book coffee mug celebrating those books. We advocates are seen for what we stand for. It brought tears to my eyes.
