If this isn't hope, I don't know what it. I also saw your video about how Gaetz withdrawing was a big win but there will be lots of fights we won't win. Either way, I'm here for all of it. I've written so many letters, I've lost count. It's WE THE PEOPLE. Don't forget that. We still matter. Stand up, Speak Up, Stay informed, Stay strong!
I have also wrote letters, sent e-mails, made phone calls even got hung up on many times by the democrats ! I wasnβt rude so they were just being rude. Governor Newson is one that seemed to listen because I saw change in what I brought up but then he got put on the ballet to be recalled by the Republicans which made me feel bad.
Thank you Jess! As always Extra! Extra! is the ray of light that I need after another tough week. But most of all, I am inspired by the message from Senator Booker. He always knows how to bring us together with hope and purpose. And boy do we need that now!!
I rarely ever leave comments but I had to this time for this was the best e-mail you could have sent us. Instead of having fear which is what they are attempting to instill in us, we will celebrate for all the positive energy that is out there.
There is quite a bit out there that we need to be grateful for.
Thank you for sharing Senator Bookerβs message: so inspirational for our souls,
This is something that you might want to watch. Nearly 10,000 Corewell Nurses in MI voted to join the Teamsters. The will have their own Local - Teamsters Joint Council 43. This is Corewell East and the Corewell West nurses are organizing to join too. It's the largest union of nurses in the country and SO NEEDED. Nurses have left in droves and it's at crisis stage. Hopefully they will get better staff ratios and more protection from the dangers they face daily, it's not as much about pay. https://www.peoplesworld.org/article/nearly-10000-michigan-nurses-at-corewell-health-join-the-teamsters/
Oh so glad this caught your attention. What's happening with nurses and hospitals is horrific. FYI Nurse Erica on FB, Instagram and The Clock is a wealth of info on upcoming strikes and union activity.
On Nov. 22, Allison Riggs declared victory in the critically important North Carolina Supreme Court challenge. As of Nov. 19, she lead the race by 625 votes. She wrote:
"The margin has increased from 623 since last night.
"Today [Nov. 19], my opponent filed for a recount. Buncombe County started its recount today, and most other counties will start tomorrow. As Iβve talked about before, recounts are a normal part of the electoral process. They help to safeguard confidence in our electoral system and double check that all votes were counted.
"My goal has always been to ensure that every vote counts and every voterβs voice is heard.
"Troublingly, my opponent is taking a tired page from the playbook of previous failed candidates. He has filed more than 300 protests to challenge 60,000 ballots across our state, in an attempt to disenfranchise voters and discredit our election administrators. I look forward to continuing to defend my lead in this race with integrity, and Iβm grateful to the 2,770,818 voters who are standing with me...
"In the days ahead, I will keep you posted on the progress of the recount. We expect a smooth process, and I continue to feel gratitude for the election administrators who are working hard to execute the recount process.
Thank you for this. Should be done throughout the next 4 years. Keeping track of things that will be broken down or destroyed is very important.
A much wider circulation of any or some of this on Tik Tok or some of the more popular platforms would be great. The focus must be on marketing truth and facts and every single accomplishment of the left.
They are going to fill the air with lies and fakery so that they keep their 75 million engaged, not take any responsibility for all things bad, keep the flock mad and so keep giving money. So keep speaking up EvERyWHErE ! Thank you. ππ½
Not sure if you're new to this newsletter, but I've been doing these good news roundups every Sunday for at least two years now. And I will not stop. I do make TikToks about them as often as I can, too.
Thank you for the readings on hope. They encapsulate many of the things we know but tend to forget when we are distressed. It is grounding reading and a reminder that we live among heroes, present company included. Rebecca Solnit's closing:
"The fact that we cannot save everything does not mean we cannot save anything, and everything we can save is worth saving. Let Julian Aguon have the last word: 'No offering is too small. No stone unneeded β¦ All of us, without exception, are qualified to participate in the rescue of the world.'"
Great stuff today Jess. Thanks. The bit about Missouri weed revenue funding help for veterans is the first I've heard about that. Apparently the anti-weed element in MO government doesn't want people to know how successful it's been.
The money isn't being transferred away from research, this is tax revenue from sales and one of the promised outcomes from legalization was to be increased support for veterans. The economics of legalization have, so far, way exceeded even optimistic forecasts.

We do still matter. Abso-goddamn-lutely.

I agree. Loved it.

Of course. There is a strategic reason I send out an email like this every Sunday. Morale boosts are necessary for any troops!
Corey Booker is an American treasure!

"Without fear or favor,
Justice Allison Riggs"
Fantastic. I've been holding off on posting about her victory until he concedes but this is such a big deal!
Thank you so much for making our Sunday brighter! ππΌπ
Of course!
Thank you for doing what you do. It matters, and you matter.
Thank you, Harley. Back at you.
Love the video. I appreciate leaders who act like leaders, especially now

Exactly. I love her so much.

Yes! Spread the word!
I am confused as to why transferring money away from Medical Marijuana research is a good thing.
The money isn't being transferred away from research, this is tax revenue from sales and one of the promised outcomes from legalization was to be increased support for veterans. The economics of legalization have, so far, way exceeded even optimistic forecasts.
Oh, thanks for the explanation, Dave.
Wonderful edition of "Extra, Extra," just what we all needed tonight! Thank you very much, Jessica.
You're welcome, MAry!
This list is awesome. Thanks for highlighting the silver linings.
Every Sunday!
So much to thank you for Jess! You rock!
Thank you for this newsletter, Jessica! Todayβs list of great things really was a boost to my state of mind.
I'm so glad.
We warned everyone about Project 2025.
