What a great post! So many things to be happy about. Loved Loud White Men for Kamala. And SNL’s opening last night had me laughing as loud as loud white men. Thank you for all that you do! I feel confident we will win.
I spent the weekend canvassing in Pennsylvania (from MA). I’m sure you’ve heard the stat, and I apologize if it was in your newsletter(but I’m too bleary-eyed to have digested it).. the word is that volunteers knocked on 2000 doors per minute this weekend. (Not a typo— 2000 doors per minute). 800,000 doors knocked on Saturday alone! I was in Bucks County and we saw no Trump ground game. Plenty of flags and signs. But no people.
You should be in bed by now! Hi to Jill, Robert and Mary B. I'll be Aridzona ballot curing all week. Our team did 1,000 or so today. Lots of teams will make a difference.
How did you have time for this when you were out canvassing all weekend ?? - do you have a doppelgänger like Kamala? 🤩 thank you so much for this added lift!
I have used the share button for Heather’s letters but when I’ve done the “share quote” option it acts real funny and I can ‘t see it before it’s posted. I’ve given up on that option and just copy/paste the quote I want to add. Whey do they mess with something that has worked for years??!!!
Just want to give a shoutout to my fellow volunteers doing administrative tasks in the background for all of these phone banks and ballot curing projects. At VoPro Pros, whenever we're given a new project to work on, immediately there are at least a dozen of us working on a Google spreadsheet together, and you can see all of us working in there like little Democrat elves. It's perfect for detail-oriented, sleuthing introverts, and I'm so happy I found this organization!
Here's a beautiful note from a friend of mine. "From a different corner of the state, some really good news! I went with 10 others to Northwest Wisconsin, Solon Springs, a place that hasn't been door knocked, rumor has it, for ten years. Very rural, lots of lake homes, lots of poverty. In our turf over two days, our one car had 38 yeses for Harris. There were five cars in our team, so my guess is that we confirmed at least 100 Harris votes and flipped at least three undecideds, as well as getting a woman set to vote who wasn't going to vote because she didn't have a ride. Most people are afraid to share their political perspectives, so they think they are alone when there are other Democrats very close by. We saw a lot of social isolation, people who had bought places and retired to them and are living on $400 pensions and $600 Social Security payments. And they are vehement about their support for Harris. We had a few Republicans that slipped through on the list. But most of these folks had been called multiple times with no answer, so any data was from 2020 or 2022.
Everyone was thrilled to talk to us. They were hungry for it and didn't want us to leave their yards, including a man with two pet Nigerian goats who is ex-military and has always voted Republican because he thinks Republicans are better for the military. He said he just can't this year. Another burly bearded man, three trucks in his yard, a front-loader, a "beware of dog sign," who came down the hill with a scowl on his face, until we said we were with the Wis Dems, when he gave two thumbs up, shared that he watches the MeidasTouch podcast on YouTube, and as we were leaving said, "if you'd said you were with Trump, I might have wanted to use my hammer." A sixty-year old man who lives alone in the woods who came to the door with one gold hoop earring and said that it's time a woman was president. He said he has fantasies about going to yards with Trump signs, going to the door and saying, "Ok, spin me a yarn. Tell me why you are voting for this guy!"
Our team all felt incredibly uplifted by our experiences at the doors. Tomorrow I am going out again to River Falls and to Eau Claire on election day with a smaller group. If today was any indication, as our candidate says, "We Will Win!"

Thank you, Lynette!

WHAT? I had not heard that stat. Unbelievable! Thank you! That should’ve been in this newsletter for sure!
🙌💙✅
The SNL skit with Kamala was so entertaining, I was smiling throughout the entire thing. Very well done. Stay calmala, and carryonala!
I just want to watch a Rom-Kamala in my pajama-lamalas.😂
Jessica - your substack is fun, informative and sunny with positive vibes. Thanks for making the election so fun.

Wow that’s a lot of ballots cured!
It's 4:30 am and I'm laughing like a lunatic. What a great way to start the last day of the campaign! GO, KAMALA!
Whoooo!
Thanks for all your energy!!
I hope you also saw Harrison Ford’s endorsement video! It was… [chef’s kiss]
I did. Fantastic!
Thanks for the stats on canvassing & phone banking in Mecklenburg County. And for your work there too! LFG!!!

Well, I work on this newsletter all week long so I just do finishing touches on Sundays, but I will admit I was up quite late last night
I just shared Jessica’s post with the heading Good News and Facebook REMOVED IT!🤬🤯😤😠
So you can’t share using the Substack share button or that happens. If you copy and paste the link and share that on Facebook, you should be good.

So fun. Gotta try this next time. I love hotline incoming calls.
I'm reading this early on Monday morning before Election Day, and it's perfect medicine. A shot in the arm -- the good kind!

Any idea what's going on with the Middle Easterners in Southeastern Michigan? They were boycotting Kamala because of concerns re: the war.
How about a program that hires coal workers to learn solar panel installation? Maybe there already is one? Just thinking. Love, Doc
