Inspired by you, I knocked doors for three hours in my new hometown of Tempe, AZ yesterday. I was so scared to do it, but did it anyway. I am an introvert and can be awkward in conversations, but I feel like I did great. I also worked for 6 hours at a local direct mail house helping to get mailers out for Harris, Nez and Stanton campaigns. Thanks Jessica for inspiring me to get outside of my comfort zone to make a difference.
I'm an introvert too and feel like a big jerk knocking on strangers' doors to tell them what I think they should do! But it gets easier with time, and I've always found people way nicer and more willing to talk than I feared.
Thank you…that was helpful. Even here in Australia, I am having sleepless nights at the thought of what a second Trump term would bring. Praying for a Blue wave! All the best to you all.
I’m so glad you subscribed to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The editorial board has been full throated all year in warning about the dangers of Donald Trump, and their Harris endorsement, coming the day after the Post wimped out, was really moving. Trudy Rubin and Will Bunch, tow of their regular opinion contributors, are second to none.
I was canvassing in MIchigan today and the organizers told us that 56% of the early vote here so far has been women. I think that sounds like good news!
I think it’s quite a huge spread in almost every swing state. I thought I had heard a 12% difference in Michigan, but maybe I’m wrong. I know the numbers are very very high.
This was so great. And I especially loved the sentence about the salmon because my son is very much involved in doing reparian work on the Klamath. I was delighted to share this Chopwood. It was one of the best ever.
trvmp’s nazi-adjacent rally in NYC this evening going full white supremacist made clear to any black, Puerto Rican, and Arab voters that his crew despises them specifically. It might make a difference in swing states.
$800 million to replace old gas pipelines in 6 Georgia cities. How much would it cost to turn off the gas and replace the appliances/furnaces with electric appliances and heat pumps? Love, Doc
There’s a common thread I see among Substack comments: many of us are having a hard time sleeping. I take sleeping medication, and I’m having trouble staying asleep. I believe we soon will sleep better and finally be able to exhale. Thanks Jess for all you so.
This list of positive stuff is fabulous. It must take you a long time to put it together and so I really appreciate it and will be looking at it more often! And will refer others to it as well.
Thank you for this list of "wins" for us moving towards a positive future. So many of us have been working to bring that future to fruition but we can get down and despirited and have our energy lessened. Thanks for the boost!

Catherine! You just inspired me SO MUCH! Great job! Thank you!
So appreciative of your efforts and giving me the confidence to try something new and to make a difference.

Agreed! Thanks for your efforts!
That's amazing!!! Thank you for your work, it makes a huge difference.
Thanks!
That's inspiring Catherine. Thank you.

We've got this.
Oh God, I hope so!
And I do believe that fundamentally, the majority of US citizens are decent people - you have fought and won for freedom many times before!
it is just in those dark small hours when our fears come to taunt us, that I get shaky. Thanks for helping me hope and believe, back in the daylight!

I did and I will use it and the Guardian for my main news sources going forward!

Thank you!!! And best wishes in Pennsylvania. I'll sleep better knowing you'll be helping us close there. We're not going back!
Thanks, Jason!

Thank you for the good news list, I'm forwarding it to my hand-wringing Democrat friends.
Thank you! Tell them to get busy!
That WaPo news story about the Biden administration's crackdown on lead paint rang a bell. One of the very first things Trump's EPA did was cut programs to protect kids from lead paint. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2017/04/05/trumps-epa-moves-to-defund-programs-that-protect-children-from-lead/
Oof that’s a good reminder.
Donuts + Democracy added a whole bunch of new events in NV and AZ this week. Spread the word and donate if ya can! https://open.substack.com/pub/democratsdeliver/p/democracy-weve-added-25-new-events?r=1m5xe2&utm_medium=ios

Good for Violent J; every vote counts. LFG, let's Faygo!
Thank you! Also, the last two videos don’t work.
Hmmm I just double checked them and they worked for me. Hopefully someone else can let me know if they're working for them?
Worked for me!
Worked for me. Would love the link to the one of Kamala’s conversation to share. That was seriously powerful
They work for me.
Worked for me.
They worked this morning. Last night they were black boxes with a grey line across; this morning they were pictures of the videos. Probably my system.
