Hi, all, and happy Sunday. The world continues to be in devastating turmoil, so it’s perhaps more important than usual to take a bit of time to celebrate the things that *also* happened to go well this week. There were, ironically, a lot of them. Focussing only on the horrible stuff will depress, paralyze, and drain us, friends. So let’s pause to turn our attention—if only for a moment—to the many victories occurring around us.
That’s very kind of you although I would argue that I’m not doing reporting in this case so much as simply gathering and sharing. But regardless, I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
This is the list I will uphold. We all know there is a ton to be done, but understanding the momentum and successes helps us set new goals and builds constituency. Brilliant! Thank you!
Jessica, you are performing a heroic public service with this parade of authentically good news -- and saving my sanity and perspective! Many thanks and many cheers.
One of the women Water Protector protesters in the MN case referenced is Winona LaDuke, who ran for Vice President with Ralph Nader. There are many brave women doing hard work in MN to support Water. https://www.youtube.com/@waadookawaad_amikwag
Thanks for sending this out Sunday morning-good way to start the day in the midst of all the horrible news. I always send this out to many in my email contacts.
Anyone who can’t see how much President Biden has accomplished in three years, under the most difficult of circumstances, must be living in a cave somewhere. It is a shame that even mainstream media does not report on these stunning accomplishments. Also, Jared Moskowitz is a very funny man.
And thank you for making my Sundays happier. Things are getting done, great things, in spite of all the bad news we are bombarded with on a daily basis.
I was feeling so down after spending an evening with friends dissecting the horrors occurring in Gaza. I still feel that grief of course, but reading all of this good news is certainly inspiring. I will definitely share.
You're up and about early 😉 Thanks for all the good news; didn't know about the Ukrainian children returning home.
Admittedly, I had to read this one twice - "The government filed notice that it was appealing the sentences of the five members of the far-right Proud Boys group convicted in the Jan. 6 attack, presumably because they’re too short." - because at first I thought the PBs were too short, not their sentences. Gotta pay attention to those pesky prepositions and dependent clauses.
Jessica, just had the time to read your excellent newsletter for Sunday. Lots of great stuff like the Poland victory, The Administration’s pressure on online gun sellers, fabulous news about the choice for Oklahoma, didn’t know about SCOTUS’ ruling, poor poor lil’ Ken doll, Pence, running out of money, could literally kiss Gov. Prtizker! I follow the Biden-Harris comments that they make on Truth Social. How brilliant was that for their teams to think of doing that? it’s like secret harassment and I am there for it! Just real good stuff! Thanks
Reading nothing but GOOD news is a great way to start my Sunday! Thank, Jess! Sharing on Spoutible.
Thank you so much and good morning!
Thank you for excellent, imaginative reporting! You’re top notch!

How can we get McHenry to implement RCV which would be democratic and fair? Then Jeffries would win as he would have the most votes.
They are putting party over country. Could the DOJ step in and demand they implement it?
I answered this below. I just don’t think there’s a chance. Republicans generally hate RCV.
But the entire country is watching and focusing on the House Republicans. This would be the opportunity to do it.

Agreed and thank you so much!

Thank me by sharing it widely. I mean that. Have a great Sunday!
Yup, restacking and posting on the nefarious X.

Wow! Didn’t realize this!

Love Rep Moskowitz!
So glad it was helpful. And yes, I’m trying to get these out early on Sundays now, so that people can start their day off in a positive way.
Classic video and information too
Right? So grateful to Jay Kuo for finding all these gems.

Ha ha that’s so funny and yes I can see how I could’ve phrased that a bit more clearly.
😂
The news comes at us faster and faster. It’s hard to catch all the fast balls!
Oh and the video...PRICELESS!
Right? 😂

Amazing thank you!
I wonder if anyone has seen The Bulwark podcast on YouTube. It is amazing. Here's the title;
