As a new listener to your subscription, I was positively giddy reveling, and all of this amazing good news. I am a racial justice activist and organize predominantly with SURJ. Very little causes me to feel giddy so this is a big day! Thank you so much. I too shared it with others who may be unfamiliar with your posts.

Jess, this gets passed onto about 20 people in my email box every Sunday. I have a question. I do at least 10 actions a day on Climate Action app. I am wondering if there is anything out there or anyone who would be interested in doing something similar to calling out the media for the distorted coverage of the "bothsides". The NY Times is running a lot of hit pieces on Biden. I see headlines like the UAW visits by Biden and Trump did nothing for both and the UAW gave a warm welcome to Biden and now endorsed him. The NY Pitchbot pretty much gets it right. The Climate Action app has those actions that would allow mass call outs on this stuff not just with the times but with multiple outlets. I don't know who else to reach out to. You are my go getter!

It's a great idea but I don't know of anyone doing that. I do know the DNC is having a training for people who want to help push back on disinfo on Twitter. Email me if interested! hijesscraven101@gmail.com

I’ve been a resident of Alabama for very near 40 years. I’m going to be rather surprised if the governor and the state AG submit to the second slap down from the Supreme Court. I’m a little more expectant that since federally ordered school desegregation required federal troop enforcement, similar measures will be required again.

Thank you for this amazing newsletter. The Extra Extra Sunday edition with positive news is essential to carry on with all the bad news and energizing to keep working, thank you!!

Apologies in advance is this seems presumptuous as I don’t know how you select the actions to include in your newsletter, but I write to suggest an action for the section on recommended climate actions under Chop Wood, Save the Planet. It would be great if people could write Congress to ask for their support of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.5744). Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24) just reintroduced the Act in the U.S. House of Representatives this past week. The Energy Innovation Act is a carbon fee and dividend bill. Essentially it is a policy that charges polluters a fee for the carbon pollution they put into our air. The money collected goes to Americans in the form of a monthly “carbon cashback” payment to keep things affordable. This is being promoted by the Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL), a nonprofit, nonpartisan grassroots advocacy climate change organization that exists to create the political will for climate change solutions by enabling individual breakthroughs in the exercise of personal and political power. Here is a link with more info and with a button to write Congress: Take Action Write Congress: https://cclusa.org/energy

Many thanks for all you do!

Thank you, Ginger! I am very torn on this bill as I am in several climate groups and some support it while some don't. I will keep gathering info and put it in as soon as I can get some clarity. And always feel free to suggest bills--I really appreciate it! Thanks!
