I get it that many activists want this, but Indivisible has made it pretty clear, 1. Yes he has clearly committed impeachable offenses 2. We do not have the votes to convict 3. So this would be purely performative 4. There are other actions that at least have a chance of having a tangible result.

I feel these repeated attempts to impea h Trump without any chance to get the votes needed to be successful are going to make it even more difficult when and if Dems and progressives have the majority in votes. Why? The public will just think, "Again?" It's benn done and if we keep repeating this procedure it will become less valued and seen as a cheap trick. I want Trump out ASAP but feel it is a waste of effort right now. There are SO MANY CRITCAL MESSAGES we NEED TO BE PUTTING OUT NOW UNTIL ELECTIONS. The sector of the public we need to engage with has a short attention span, less buy in and include magas who will be questioning their choice of Trump. To try mi

Multiple times to impeach him, we might loose those people. Many do not even know what impeachment is, and the SCOTUS will not let it stand either.I would love Trump to melt into a greasy spot and go to jail. But I do not think another impeachment trial will move our cause or help bring in more voters.

I'm not very optimistic that the republican Congress will vote to impeach Trump. Even if he were removed, I suspect he has enough dirt on nearly all of the members of Congress that they will still do whatever he wants. Same with the Supreme Court. I an hoping for good news in the obituaries!

Agreed. And look at what we’re left with if he’s out. Wish there was a way to impeach the entire administration. Also wish we could wake up from this nightmare.

Respectfully, I agree that another impeachment attempt at this point would be a waste of our precious time, resources and political capital. A frustrating, empty exercise whose inevitable failure--we don't have the votes, period--could paradoxically strengthen the fascists.

What happens if he’s impeached? 1) We don’t have the votes. 2) Vance and Johnson lines up next. 3) The Supreme Court says he is free from prosecution. I’d love to see him gone but…

I am boycotting Paramount/CBS. Not only did they settle but agreed to free advertising for the Trump Regime.

Paramount is waving th do a big merger or buy out of something that the felon could block. The $16 million is their cost to complete the deal. I wonder if Congress will change the rules on tax deductions to allow people and corps to deduct bribe money. Some of the third world countries allow that. Many large international corporations allow their employees to be reimbursed for bribes.

Am I the only one who is afraid of impeaching Trump because it gives us somebody way smarter, totally beholden to Thiel, and equally without moral compass. And then there's Johnson, and then...! He's surrounded himself with not just loyalists, but protection because they're a scarier alternative. OK, started reading comments. Clearly I'm not the only one concerned about where it leave us, so why do very intelligent people keep raising it as a viable issue?

Substack Live isn't avaiable in web-based Substack. You have to use the Substack app. I missed it too. Hopefully Jessica will post the recording later.
