Hi, all, and happy Tuesday!
Hope you had a delightful three-day weekend.
Two quick things:
First, a happy announcement: This group has officially met ALL THREE of the matching challenges I announced less than two weeks ago. That means you raised 10K for Run For Something, 10K for our States Project Giving Circle for AZ and PA state legislative races, and 20K for the Movement Voter PAC. Unbelievable! I can’t thank you enough, and I really can’t thank our anonymous donor—who will now match all of those funds—enough! Together, just during this match, we raised $80,000 for three of the best electoral organizations out there! Fantastic!
You all continue to blow my mind.
In beautifully coincident news, The Harris-Walz campaign just announced that it will donate 25M of its massive fundraising haul to downballot races! This is the largest ever transfer of such funds in a presidential cycle.
To quote the campaign’s press release:
Today’s record investments will go to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC).
In addition to the DSCC, DCCC and DLCC, Harris, a former state attorney general, and Walz, the former chair of the DGA, are ramping up investments in the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) and Democratic Governors Association (DGA), showing their commitment to strong Democratic leadership in states across the country in addition to the federal level.
Music to my ears! This kind of focus on downballot races is no accident, my friends. It’s at least partially due to the work folks like you have done to “prime the pump” on such giving. I couldn’t be more proud of you!
And we’re not going to stop now. Let’s keep up the excellent work, doing what we know is effective while screening out extraneous noise as best we can.
To bastardize a popular phrase: Heads down, busy hands, can’t lose.
Call Your Senators (find yours here) 📲 and Your House Rep (find yours here) 📲
Hi, I'm a constituent calling from [zip]. My name is ______.
I’m calling because the Trump campaign broke federal law by filming and then posting campaign video in Arlington National Cemetery. Trump needs to be charged for it. If he is not, then we’re creating an incentive for others to break laws protecting the sanctity of our fallen soldiers. I’m sure the Senator/Congressmember wouldn’t want that. Congress also needs to demand the release of the incident report about the assault of the US Army employee who tried to block Trump’s entourage from breaking the law. Has the Senator / Congressmember called for this yet? If not, why not? Thanks. [H/T

Let’s write to Politico (at press@politico.com) and the Washington Post (contact form is here) and say:
I’m writing because Politico and the Washington Post are in possession of hacked documents from the Trump campaign on the vetting of Sen. J.D. Vance and yet they have not published any details. These news outlets did not show the same restraint when it came to hacked emails from Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Perhaps there’s nothing newsworthy in the documents? But perhaps there is. Either way, readers — and voters — deserve an explanation.
And here are several other things we need to know and that your publication should be covering:
—Donald Trump’s campaign has not released a legitimate medical report on the injuries he sustained from the attempted assassination.
—The Trump campaign has still not released his tax returns.
—The Trump campaign has not released footage from the incident at Arlington cemetery where a Trump aide pushed a cemetery employee.
You’re journalists. Do your jobs, and do them with equal fervor for both sides, please. Thanks.

Join Climate Action Now—and me!—for the second in a four-part series of How We Win events!
In this installment, you’ll hear from (the amazing) Martha Laning of the State Party Advancement Network (SPAN) and Lewis Friedland of Win Wisconsin, on vital questions like: Why are the upper midwestern battlegrounds critical for a Harris victory? What is the key to swinging them one way or another? Can people outside those states influence voters in those states?
I will be moderating the conversation!

I am appalled at the Trump campaign's willful abuse and desecration of one of our nation's most solemn and sacred shrines at Arlington National Cemetery. Reports of violation of Federal law and the assault, however minor, of a cemetery employee cannot be ignored.
I implore you to call for a full investigation and a public hearing on this egregious display of self-serving hubris, and demand an immediate cessation of any inappropriate or illegal photos or videos by Trump or his campaign.
OK, you did it again! You helped save democracy! You’re amazing.
Talk soon.

I absolutely love the featured meme! My mantra, which relates to it is:
"It's far more important to fix the problem than fix the blame!"
Said another way, paraphrasing the meme:
"Democrats Fix Problems. Republicans Fix Blame."
Gloria Johnson could certainly use down ballot help in her race to defeat Marsha Blackburn! She's running for the senate from Tennessee! Go, Gloria!!! 💙🌊💙🌊💙🌊💞
