Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! First, if you’re in Florida please know that I’m sending you thoughts and prayers. I hope that you and your loved ones get through today safely and with minimal damage. 🙏🏽 Second, y’all, we killed the dirty deal! At least for now. And YOU helped!
I called to be an organizer for the letter writing for the first time today. The woman I talked to asked how I heard about them and that they had had a lot of people from the west coast sign up today. It’s all from your newsletter!!!
First thanks for all you do! I copied your list from act blue for legislative candidates. Can you also supply a list of senate and House members that are in jeopardy? I’m about to make my last donations for the year. Also a very wealthy friend is making hers also. Can you tell me the max that can be donated to each candidate. I’m talking VERY big donations that she can make. Thanks Jessica. You might have already published something and I might have missed it. Or would it be better to ask Robert Hubbell?
First of all, I always tell people, and I'm happy to say it again, that most of the Senate candidates have MORE than enough money. Like, really. Giving them money is not going to make a difference in whether or not they win at this point. Giving to grassroots orgs and Secretary of State races, in my opinion, is a WAY better use of your money. I'm getting particularly worried about Nevada, so would highly recommend Make the Road Nevada as a recipient of literally as much as she can afford to give. Or, if she wants to give to a great fund that will split the money between Make the Road and 6 other grassroots orgs--one in each of 6 battleground states--that will do the most with her money, I am helping Flip the Vote raise money for just such a fund. It's here: https://www.flipthevote.org/donate
I can't urge you and her enough to give to Attorney General and Secretary of State races--if she wants to help us hold on to our democracy in 2024. Links in the doc. (:

Thank YOU for asking!

No I'm happy to answer this. Hold on let me gather some links.

The rest of my recommendations would be in my "where to Give" doc, which is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13pvzT4gB7FK7n0O_3p6_ymrBaSIlpB3YbkuZCjNXGKw/edit
One more thing: there is a link to a fund for vulnerable House candidates in the doc as well.
