Hi, all, and happy Wednesday! I’m on an environmental polling webinar right now—having hopped off of a Supreme Court briefing that was simply too anxiety-producing to bear. All of that is to say that if I sound muddled, it’s because I am, as usual, doing two or three things at once, and already have more information in my head than I can functionally process. 🤯
Over the weekend, I had my 92-year-old dad writing for Blue Wave to VA, my 89-year-old mom writing for Environmental Voter Project to VA, and my mom's oldest and best friend writing to Ohio while I bounced around between Reclaim Our Vote to Virginia, VA and PA School Board, and a bunch of Suffolk County candidates! We wish we could help you with your cards!
Jessica, I'm laughing out loud because I was on the Supreme Court briefing (the one with Steve Vladeck at the beginning) and I also ditched it to come to this environmental polling webinar. I'm just deleting and writing emails while you got a newsletter out so you are definitely better at multitasking! Earlier this morning I went to a fantastic briefing with America Votes. Their data was very encouraging too. When they share their slides, I'll send to you. And then I went to a Seniors Taking Action Zoom with Simon Rosenberg who was great as always. When this is over, I'm off to the post office to mail the 200 Blue Wave postcards to Virginia my 92-year-old dad wrote over the weekend, and also mailing packages of postcards for Ken Colon, the 27-year-old Democratic candidate for Islip Town Supervisor to some of the awesome Markers For Democracy volunteers around the country. Onward!
Hahah so glad to know I'm not the only one hopping from one meeting to another! This EVPC webinar is always SO INTERESTING! Thank you for all you're doing and please thank your dad for me, too! Wow! 200! I wish he lived near me and could help with the massive number of postcards I just put out front!

Please accept my comment in support of your proposed changes to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations.
WE NEED A STRONG NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY!! The time for equivocating has passed; we're choking on pollution, can't drink the water - or even swim in it, are battered by weather, wildfires, and all the damage caused by extractive mining and oil. The seas are warming and rising radically. It's no longer a discussion- it's a five-alarm fire, and we need action to turn this around NOW!
EVERYTHING we care about is at risk; what more do you need to convince you that there is only one right course of action. Please do not fail us; we cannot afford to wait.
