When the presidential campaign shifted from Biden to Harris v Trump, the race could easily be characterized as "Nice" v "Nasty".
7 weeks into the campaign, with Harris/Walz putting out policies to support the middle and working class and Trump/Vance doubling down on immigrants eating pets, the final 7 weeks will be "Help for All" vs "Hate".
The post-debate polls are finally showing which option Americans are choosing.
And these polls can't really capture the impact of millions of first time young voters!
We all need to keep our heads down and work to win the Congress and the White House.

I received notification from USPS that my Yeson4(amend for repro rights) bumper sticker had been delivered.NOT.We did receive other mail that day. When I called the post office they insisted it had been delivered because “it was scanned”. Sigh…
I live near Aurora, CO. What if the residents of Aurura CO and Springfield OH don't WANT Mr Trump's 'help'? I feel so bad for both communities. Aurora is being invaded by Republicans with bullhorns trying to rile everybody up.
He's not trying to help you, of course, it's always about him. But maybe there is something that could be done.
An anecdote: not long after WWII, Paul Robeson (magnificent Black singer) was giving a concert in NY, north of the city. White supremacists made it clear they were going to picket and harass attendees. My "backup Dad", Marty Dawson, was one of many veterans who showed up to create a line of defense between the racists and the concert goers. The performance went on as planned.
Facebook thinks Martha Merson's Substack goes against their Community Standards and wouldn't let me post it. (I hopefully got around it by telling my friends to google "martha merson grassroots connector down-ballot", but sheesh.)
So as far as I understand it the solution is not to hit the "share" button but to copy and paste the link from the browser bar into your FB post. That should work.
I am no longer on FB, but read in Comments on Jay Kuo’s substack that others have posted a 💙 and then, in a reply to that post, inserted the desired text. Did that make sense?
Freedom of speech, like freedom of religion and freedom of the press, are all protected by our Constitution because those freedoms carry with them RESPONSIBILITY. Freedom is not license. "The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic" Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes. He also introduced "the marketplace of ideas" concept. We see readily and currently how personal responsibility must extend beyond grasping for clicks or votes or money IF WE are going to support our freedoms.
