I also read the Atlantic article re Mitt Romney. Twice. What struck me most, and pissed me off, is the cowardice and failure to stand up to bullies. Yes, there is a threat of violence, but the vast majority of Americans do not support that. If the Republicans would grow a spine, that violence threat could be squashed. Instead, they feed the lies for political gain. Sickening. Every one of them needs to be demolished at the ballot box.

Is there anything to write to our elected officials to support the UAW's efforts?
There are lots of petitions out there, but I tend to go light on those as they have limited effectiveness and always bring folks to a donation page. I did have an action a few weeks back where we recorded voicemails for the execs urging them to accede to the workers' demands. I liked that action a lot but it's completed. I love Vote Forward. My advice is to start with batches of 5. It's tempting to go straight to 20 but I find 5 to be more manageable.
