Is now the right time to call for the Senate to confirm Val Demings and William Zollars to fill the final two slots on the board of governors of the USPS?

Yes I will put that in again. Things with the USPS are bad right now. See tomorrow's newsletter.

I can’t find much about the hold up on Walsh other then it was in with all the GOP hold ups back in June when they we’re seeking g revenge for the orange turd’s conviction. Demmings is a nomination for a seat that doesn’t vacate until 12/8. What is Biden’s problem with being aggressive here?? Seems weird.

I have been baffled by his approach to this for awhile now.

I emailed my Senators yesterday using your script, but this morning I see that Rick Scott was pushing to tie voter ID to government funding. So I wrote him & Rubio again. (Yes, it's probably too harsh.)

The fact the SAVE Act is supported by Donald Trump is really all I need to know. But a handful of old, white guys thought they needed to hold a press conference Wednesday with headlines from Fox & other "news" outlets on display? After Mike Johnson pulled it because he can't get it through the House? What a waste of time and resources. Voting by people who are not citizens is rare and already illegal. How 'bout y'all stop with the conspiracy theories & get to work!

Love it!

I loved your video on early voting which I just saw on Instagram. As a longtime texter, I must say that folks are often respond that they voted already. I think removing names of already voters must be tricky and not always successful. I loved your other reasons, and as a mail in ballot voter (I live in WA ST where it's pretty much all mail in/drop off) I plan to vote on Day 1. I loved that Taylor Swift really promoted early voting. I guess voter registration is OFF THE CHARTS following her endorsement! WHOOP WHOOP!

Oh did she promote early voting? I din't know that! Where?

here’s the part I recall: “"I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice," Swift said. "Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early."

Women who self-oppress see no chance that Kamala Harris would be a successful President, on the global stage-because Putin, Netanyahu, Maduro, the Iranian mullahs, Erdogan, etc. I have a few rejoinders to that notion: Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, Indira Gandhi.

Can I suggest something obvious but not obvious. When I couldn’t make the appointed group time to stand out on the street waving a sign I said I’ll just do it myself. I picked up a yard sign, wore my Harris shirt and walked up and down a busy street near my house for an hour. Maybe you could suggest this?

This was on my clipboard having just been sent to Robert Reives, minority leader in the NC House. He was born in Goldston, just down the road and his law practice is in Sanford, NC. Robert is a good friend and tells lies with Old Farts every now and then. I would love for the Chop Wood group to read and critique and improve on the Sheriffs List concept. Love, Doc IMHO Sheriffs List would open another path for young people developing addiction rather than becoming criminals stealing from Mamma's pocketbook or from Target. It would divert a drug dealer's best customers and ruin the profits now going to cartels.

Improve this.

Might we all, Californians included, consider The Sheriff's List?

Law now. Illegal for a physician to prescribe an addictive drug to someone ONLY because they are addicted.

If anyone recognized themselves as an addict, they would be allowed to go to local Sheriff's Office and sign up as addicted. They would be placed in an addicted data base and surrender their driver's license. They would be issued a Sheriff's List Card to be carried at all times marked driver that is subject to testing for alcohol or any other possibly impairing substance via breath, blood, hair or tissue analysis with a zero tolerance to avoid confiscation of the vehicle and DWI. If they have no driver's license their card would be so marked. Sheriff's List Card would make it legal for a physician to prescribe and pharmacist to fill prescription for their drug of addiction until that person could enter an accredited treatment facility. Thus these people are put on a pathway toward treatment rather than on a path to crime and back to their drug dealer. If one is convicted of any crime while on the Sheriff's List, the penalty for that conviction is doubled. Enormous profits of selling illegal drugs would be cut off as most of these drugs are cheap through legal pharmacy channels. Business model of selling illegal drugs is so profitable because every step is illegal; production, distribution, sales, and end use. This does not make drugs legal, but it drains away the very best customers. Sign up for the Sheriff's List instead of stealing from your Mamma's pocketbook or Target.
