This morning I went on Facebook to post on a few politics-themed pages about National Pollworkers Day. I was preparing to post on one of them—a page with the word “Persist” in its title—when I found myself looking at a thread about leaving the country. Not just one, but several women in the group were sharing their plans to do so.
AMEN!!! We absolutely have an achievable way of reclaiming our country and leaving it is not it. Also if the US calls to fascism, the whole world will be vulnerable. (The US has used its power in the past to protect democracies from authoritarian fascists. If we call to fascism, there will be no other country powerful enough to save us.) We must do the work my friends!

Jessica, thanks once again for your pep talk. I believe that we do have a way to save our democracy because of all the activists that I know. There are groups all over the country who are working on saving our way of life. I have hope because of all of them.
I write with Field Team 6 a lot and know that our many "touches" are reaching people by cards, texts, phone calls. We must remember that the MAGA idiots are the minority but get media air time because they are so loud. We need to be louder!
Our country is worth saving and the things we know we stand for must be protected especially for those people who can't afford to move to another country. I can't abandon the ship just because it's rocking!
