Thank you for sharing Mike Lux's piece - I think his wisdom is so needed in this moment, especially this: "Showing up in the streets is great fun and fortifies us all for the fight ahead. Telling stories is what makes us human, but it also connects with people far more than spitting one fact after another. Human decency is its own reward, but it is also a hell of an organizing strategy". We have to build the world we know is possible each step of the way. Thank you, Jess, for being a model of decency every day.
FYI: Just now at Seatac (Seattle, WA) Delta flight 415 to NYC has been delayed for over an hour due to lack of air traffic controllers -- welcome to felon 47's America. Pass it on.
We'll be fighting the GOP self righteous, "how can the commie Dems insult us this way" fog machine ievery day and in every race. Trump's firehouse of propaganda and lies will go on overdrive. We need to keep our message simple..
1. Tax cuts for the rich financed by cuts to healthcare for the poor.
2. Medicare, Medicare and Soc Sec cuts.
3. An inhumane, unAmerican, unconstitutional deportation system supported by masked thugs and concentration camps.
4. Attacks on science and higher education.
These maybe the tip of the iceberg in MAGA horribleness but it should do the triick.
Really, the core question is "Who wants to live in the hate filled brain of Donald Trump that is creating new conflicts every day.
Thank you for the Live yesterday with David Pakman - you are 2 of my favorite people to listen to/read. Thank you for keeping us all informed and for your activism.
Thanks, Jess. I missed this Wednesday, and someone referred to it. Mike's words about caring resonated with me. My email tagline is, "Nothing worth anything comes at the expense of others," and another line I'm using regularly is, "Take care, not advantage, of each other." I think those are the essence of what sets us apart from today's Republican party.
Great article. Thank you for sharing. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the mighty MAGA social media machine, and I’m not feeling super optimistic that the dems can spread their messages nearly as effectively. MAGA can say the sky is green and people will believe it. I’m worried for 2026, but will keep at it. Fingers crossed that we will have done enough.
Sorry to not be a paid subscriber. i'm a senior on a low fixed income
Jessica C…Is there a way for a someone to pay the $5 monthly fee for this person to get your newsletter and keep my payment info private? I would.
I will protest and call my senators and representatives.

A morally bankrupt bill, that will economically bankrupt the country.

I just started a new collaboration site so we can share with each other what steps we've taken, ideas and strategies for calls and messaging.
Of course we've got CWCW giving us ideas. If you want to collaborate with us, we're NotInMyCountryYouDont
My mom used to say “It’s a good life if you don’t weaken.” 😉 Her context was very different, but it’s applicable!
