Hi, all, and happy Thursday! Thanks to all of the paid subscribers who responded to my somewhat urgent request this morning. Let me explain: I recently became a co-host of How We Win, a great politics and activism-themed podcast which, among other things, features an interview with a new guest each week. This morning I got a text from my co-host Steve Pierson reminding me that we had an interview scheduled with Rep. Eric Swalwell at 11AM. Steve informed me, furthermore, that because of a scheduling conflict I’d be doing it more or less on my own. And that he’d had no time to prepare questions. Ack!
I just want to say "Thank you, Jessica, because you give us all hope and the energy to take action. I am more grateful to you than you can guess. Thank you, thank you for being the ultimate cheerleader and guru for saving democracy." Ann
Thank you Jess for the call to action on the rules change. One Senator should not hold the Senate hostage. The nominees deserve a vote and the American people deserve capable and committed public servants.
Congratulations on your new podcast. You have so much positive energy! Congratulations also for capturing Representative Swalwell for an interview. He has a great heart for others and is incredibly bright. Thanks for the call out today. I wanted to make sure you saw the action I posted to call the Tennessee attorney general to complain about him subpoenaing trans patients records from Vanderbilt University hospital ahead of the ban on trans medical care. His name is Jonathan Skrmetti and here is his phone number (615) 741-3491. Here is the news story. https://time.com/6289609/vanderbilt-transgender-records-patients-backlash/#:~:text=Vanderbilt%20University%20Medical%20Center,stirred%20controversy%20and%20privacy%20concerns. Be well....Alan
