I absolutely LOVE the meme you used at the top of Today's newsletter! I will be sharing it with friends!

And I'm fired up for a double dose of HCR next week!

On the topic of Project 2025, Field Team 6 has launched a bunch of postcard campaigns with Project 2025 themed message. FT6's postcard campaigns can be found here:

https://fieldteam6.herokuapp.com/select_campaign

Scroll down in the list to find the campaigns labeled [Special Messaging General 2024-11-05] and then pick your preferred state. I'm doing NC, naturally!!

Any idea if we have to use their postcards? I have a ton of cards here and I'd love to put together some bundles, but do the cards need to have a QR code?

You can use your own postcards and print out the QR codes on Avery labels. They offer 3 different templates which are part of the instructions you download. Two of template are for the most common standard-sized address labels. They are set up to print multiple QR codes on a label and then you trim them with scissors - so you get 60 QR codes out of a page of 30 labels.

The third template is for a page of 1" square labels that prints 48 QR codes per page. I'm not sure if these are available at your neighborhood office supplie store, but I found them on the Avery website in various quantities (https://www.avery.com/blank/labels/94103).

I know some people skip the QR code altogether since the script mentions the Voterizer registration website, but I like to include the QR code since it reduces "friction" and may make it easy enough that more people view the QR Code and sign up.

The FT6 postcards you buy that already include the QR code are mostly "half back" postcards, but that doesn't give you a whole lot of writing room when you have a QR code too. I prefer to use "full back" postcards to give you more space to write.

Cheers once again, Jessica. I called my Senators & rep and fired off a personalized letter to the DOJ using the form you linked to. Now for more postcards.

That must have been infuriating and frustrating. You are my hero for pursuing it to completion. I didn't realize cats are so useful.

It's exasperating beyond belief. People have no idea how heavily TikTok censors information.

Thank you so much for all you do! I have exactly 3 posts and 8 followers on my (private) Instagram page. I'm not comfortable opening it up to the public. I usually just repost fun/uplifting things in my stories, but have been dialing up on the politics/policies. I'm not sure if they even see them on their own feeds, but no one has unfollowed (bless them).

Got it!

@Jessica, thanks for your dogged pursuit to generate a post that rude and inscrutable Tik Tok finally allows. Please know that it is indeed worth it when you create these videos, because as you know we humans retain far more from hearing audio and seeing video than we do from merely reading a list. Your awesome work makes such a difference!

Thanks, Patti. Yeah it's gotten over 100K views on TT since it finally made it up so I feel pretty good about it. But man, getting around their censors is something else.

feels good to get the list done! thank you for your persistence with your frustrating Tik-tok today- I would not know where to begin! Now, like others above and below- off to do postcards...

Jessica, thanks SO MUCH for your persistence in creating posts that can get this important message out to the vitally important TikTok audience!!

I don't have nearly the reach that you do, but here's the t-shirt I customized, that I now wear for all my errands around town. (Everyone can feel free to get one for yourself as-is, or customize as you like.) https://www.zazzle.com/z/l30a08jt

I just finished watching the video and it was so heartening. I believe the grassroots movement in America is quietly growing and learning to connect. And I also believe that it is made up of people with heart, spirit, intelligence, and courage who are committed to getting things done on behalf of democracy and future generations. Joe Biden says it so well, "There is nothing Americans can't do if we work together." That is the message most of us are hungry to hear, not the negative, fascist BS MAGA spews 24-7.

I agree!

I just finished watching the Blue NM-2 video. Thanks for including the link. I either had a conflict or there was an operator error and I failed to put the Zoom details on my calendar.

Whenever I don't have a webinar on the calendar for a weekday evening these days, I get the nagging suspicion that I am missing something!! But I have mastered the art of writing postcards while listening to informative webinars or candidates, so I feel vey productive!!

Thanks for publicizing all these great opportunities for reader engagement.

Looking forward to seeing the video. I just registered for Monday's talk. Thanks for all you do and I hope you're feeling better.

I believe the reason so many people want Biden out is because he knows what he's doing and has been successful. We have to keep pushing forward.

Late Friday afternoon, it was in the news (Axios) that Meta (for Facebook and Instagram) has removed the restrictions on tffg/CFDT's accounts:

"With the party conventions taking place shortly, including the Republican convention next week, the candidates for President of the United States will soon be formally nominated. In assessing our responsibility to allow political expression, we believe that the American people should be able to hear from the nominees for President on the same basis,” Nick Clegg, Meta’s president of global affairs, said in a blog post. “As a result, former President Trump, as the nominee of the Republican Party, will no longer be subject to the heightened suspension penalties.”

It's not just TikTok that is messing with progressive posts. The right-leaning publication, The Dispatch, has been retained by Facebook to "fact check" posts, and a good many people have seen their posts about Project 2025 taken down for various ridiculous reasons. People have already begun to circumvent the algorithm by using "Pr0ject Z025" or other symbols that fake it out. We must continue to outwit those who would hush us.

While I believe that life (in a very rudimentary form) begins at conception, I do NOT believe that the government has any business directing parents and doctors/midwives as to how that life is fostered. No women I have known over the years have woken up in the morning and said, "I'm going to go and get myself pregnant, just so I can kill the little snot." The trauma of any abortion survivor is surely far more intense than most other physical/emotional traumas that humans endure. Most of us do the very best we can by those who are entrusted to our care. "Life Begins at Conception" should not be the title of any government fiat.
