Hi, all, and happy Thursday! Hope you enjoyed your rare midweek break. I can’t pretend I took the day off completely—I didn’t—but I did have a lighter day than usual, and even that was nice. I so enjoyed, too, watching my fellow Americans acknowledge and celebrate such a hugely important day—one that wasn’t even a federal holiday until 2021! We got free Juneteenth cupcakes at our local taco place last night, for example! It was wonderful—America at her best.
For at least 60 years prudish Americans have disguised their agenda as being antiabortion. With control of the Supreme Court they have hit with abortion, contraception, erotica, same sex, 10 commandments in school, Comstock. Remember when Movies would not allow double beds? Look at 1948 movies on TCM if you are too young to know the kind of world I mean. It makes radical Muslim prudishness look erotic. We had a world when all sex was either to make a baby or evil. "God Made Men Too" amazon kindle/paperback. Sex and the 21st Century is for recreation and connection rather than procreation. We must not be dragged back to the Puritans and burning witches.
Piggybacking on Cheryl’s excellent comment, if the young people go to college out of state, they may have a choice where to register. This site https://countmore.us/ could help make that decision if they are most interested in the top of the ticket. Obviously, if there are down ballot races or issues they are interested in that would also influence their decision.
I saw the information about the various states newsletter and tried to click on Ohio but was unable to. What do I need to do. I am very much interested in what is happening in my Buckeye state's government. Thanks again for all you do.
