Hi, all, and happy Tuesday! I’ve got family in town again, so I’m going to make this brief. Today is arraignment day; let’s hope that things go quietly and smoothly in Miami. Either way, this case is going to take a long time to play itself out, so let’s try to stay calm through the certain moments of drama to come.
We're happy to share you with your family, Jess. Enjoy!
This may be a bit off the mark, but your meme reminded me of a piece I wrote a couple of years ago entitled, oddly enough, "Together." It's posted on my site: https://bobmorgan.substack.com/p/together
There's probably a lot more that could be added to the piece at this point, but I wrote it in response to a question a friend asked: Given the extreme polarization and silos that separate folks, what can we do to bridge the differences?
Vice nice "Random Thought," Bob. Interestingly, I watch the local CBS news channel every morning which is aired from Washington, D.C. While delivering the "regular" news each day which seems to be done without vitriol, they have also struck a wonderfully happy chord by highlighting the good news that is happening around the metro area. It surely makes a difference in the way you feel about your "neighbors" when you see them without politics attached!
Thanks. There are some shows that make a point of that, particularly on Sunday mornings, and even CNN has occasional uplifting stuff, but a steadier diet would help us digest the rest of the news better, I think.
I actually wrote the piece in response to a question from a writer friend who was a writer and producer for Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, hence the reference. Like Robert Hubbell, he provokes my thoughts and encourages me to express 'em.
Interesting day, today. Feel great that Fake 45 was fingerprinted and appeared in court for his arraignment. Also today, E Jean Carroll and her attorney have filed yet another defamation lawsuit against jerk-off. That’s a big YAY! It will be women who bring him to his knees. Enjoy your family, Jess!!
Jessica, hope you have and are having a good time with your family!
As to the message to BLM, I thought you'd get a laugh out of this paragraph I wrote:
"As a lifelong resident of the East Coast, let me tell you, in spite of the many acres of natural lands you may be able to see dotted throughout, we made a big boo-boo by not taking heed back in the 19th Century when we had the chance to save some of our lands."
Of course, I did edit some more but kept in the what-they-should-do details from the letter they provided.
Enjoy the time with your family, Jess. It's so important!
Will do!

Have fun. I’m turning my back on the media circus in honor of “ Spare the Hot Air Day.” 🤡
