Joe Biden's loss was staggering enough after the accident, but given Beau's death and Hunter's problems, one could say he lost his entire first family. Clearly, he's a deeper, better person for it, but what a loss. Thank you for the reminder.

Jess, your dedication amazes me. I am trying to do my part but can’t quite summon the energy I had back in the day. So glad you youngsters are getting it done!

Hi Jessica, just one small quibble with your Biden story. Biden had been elected but yet not sworn in when his first wife and baby daughter were killed. The swearing in ceremony is in January after the new Congress is convened. Because of the tragedy, Biden was sworn in Beau and Hunter's hospital room.

Oh Jesus that's right! I actually read that and somehow still got it wrong. Will correct in tomorrow's email. Thanks!

Jess, as I said earlier, I don't know where you find the time to do what you do day in and day out. If you spent hours editing each substack post, you would likely catch things like this but we wouldn't be treated to your daily doses of inspiration and action. Thanks again for all that you do.

Makes so much sense to choose Biden over the other guy… if LOVE is your barometer. Unfortunately, for many, the fact that the other guy HATES the same people they do, is the most important barometer

Dear Jessica; Great summary of Joe Biden's history and relevance to Trump. One important change; "Trump will NOT be president again". because he wants to act that way again; rephrase so not an accurate quote. Love, Doc know that is what you intended to convey

Jess, my son in law works for Biden and the President consistently asks about his kids and his wife. Genuine caring questions with details that show he remembers their last conversations on the subject. He is a deeply compassionate man.

Late- East coast time but called my Senators and Rep anyway- they must think I am a lunatic! Another Alito flag and he is a SC justice!!! - Thank you Jess for giving us the tools to let them know what I think- and what I expect of them! Thank you for your tireless work!!

- - - I just read the GOP House "whatever" committee (I can't even keep track anymore) is opening up yet ANOTHER criminal investigation of Hunter today. Are they trying to drive this man to relapse or worse? He omitted checking the box on the form "do you have drug problems" when he purchased a gun (intending to committ suicide) ... that gun was then thrown into a dumpster (very stupid, for sure) by Hunter's girlfriend at the time 13 days later. So that's the federal gun charge. It was never used and certainly not in the commisson of a crime - that usually underlies gun charges.

And -- re: the federal tax charges... I am a retired CPA who's taught tax policy at a major university. Hunter is on trial for tax issues this September - yet he has PAID his taxes in full years ago and admitted wrongdoing. I have never heard of anyone being prosecuted for criminal tax fraud AFTER they've paid their taxes (the goal is usually to get the tax paid and pay a penalty). So when people talk about "weaponized DOJ" after everything the Trump and Kushner crime families have done, it's laughable.

Wow Jess! You really nailed it today. You put a strong voice to the contrast between Biden and Trump. I admire your ability to present the enormity of the issues we are facing today framed with encouragement to keep on doing the things we need to do to defeat Trump.

The final statement in your opening words were a good example. "That’s why I’ll keep chopping wood and carrying water. Because the cause is worth it. And so are the people we’re fighting for.

I hope you’ll join me. Because together, with love as our guide, we’re unstoppable."

I find myself quoting you often in my newsletters. I know it takes a lot of time to create those inspiring words on a day to day basis, but you make it look easy. I find it to be amazing how often I see you in attendance at webinars and other Zoom events. I don't know where you find the time.

Thanks for all that you do!

In 2018 I read Doris Kearns Godwin’s book Leadership’. It convinced me that Biden’s life experiences would make him the right leader for our time. It is an inspiring book that tracks the adversity faced by past presidents that uniquely suited each for the leadership needed in their times.

Beautiful, Jess! Joe Biden's empathy is real, and so is his determination to save us from ourselves.

Your comment about the Quadefendant's lack of familial support at his criminal cover-up trial was a little bit inaccurate. His namesake (a.k.a., "Butthead") attended on Tuesday; "Beavis" has attended a number of times. Notably, though, nobody (family or Congressperson) attended until the media made a big deal about it.

I had enormous respect for Biden the man because of his history of loss but his lack of meaningful action for Gaza leaves me breathless and confused. Is he a politician before he is a 'good man' or a 'good Catholic?' I assume I will one day figure it out and hopefully before election day because I certainly can't vote for that creature called Trump.

First, we know that Biden has been working as a Senator, VP, and President for a Two State solution. Second, please consider the other issues that distinguish Biden from Trump: climate change, gun control, reproductive freedoms to name just a few. Do you still want to make this a One Issue election?

Cheryl, it is for me.

With all due respect. We can’t afford to pick one issue and ignore everything else. 💔
