I found today that by calling my representative's state office rather than the Wasahington office an actual person answered the phone-which I prefer. I guess that could be chance. But, I think I am going to try calling the state offices for everyone next time.
Just reading about this disgusting video has made me reach my emotional breaking point, and it's also amplified my catastrophizing about if the worst happens. I can't take this anymore.

Yes, I never call the DC number. So much easier to call a district office, and all Senators have several.
