Another idea by another SubStacker:

https://substack.com/@dianekempf729449/note/c-118426338?r=pukm0&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action

Everyone listen up…

We do this thing at church called a “card shower” for folks with illness or celebrating a birthday, etc.

Please join me in showering PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN with cards at THE BIDEN INSTITUTE, 44 KENT WAY, NEWARK, DE 19716

Staff at The Institute assure me he will receive this mail. Do NOT send to the the White House (you can imagine why).

Share and Restack!!

Thank you for posting this info here. I read it earlier today on Substack and thought I’d saved it. Just spent way too much time trying to find it again! 💋

I think I will make my greeting(s) in postcard form so it’s not mistaken as hate magat mail.

So glad you posted here. 😘

If you file a complaint about the military parade, it will ask you for a date that cannot be in the future -- I put 01/20/2025, Inauguration day.

Only dictators ask for military parades. We DON'T have military parades here, except at the conclusion of a war. It destroyes the civilian economic infrastructure, the streets. It glorifies might over right. And, if corrupted enough, it simply glorifies one undeserving and insignificant man. Most countries don't give draft dodgers military parades!

This entire "Celebration of Trump", demanded by a lunatic, is complete BS! Almost the whole country despises him and wants him gone, yet a military parade for a 5x draft dodger and dictator has been approved? US citizens DO NOT want this.

While Trump throws his vanity military parade, WE rise nationwide to show real people power.

WHEN are his cult followers going to wake up? MAGA is a cult and a religion. They can’t admit the great orange one has failed miserably and made their lives worse. 🤦‍♀️

That's why I like wearing these kinds of shirts in front of them 👇

Resist. Persist. Insist.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of US citizens do want this and do not despise him.

Wish I had thought of that! I used today's date. But inauguration Day is better!

I used May 1, which is when the AP reported the US army's plans for a parade. FYI!

What 47's DOJ did is reminiscent of how John Adams imprisoned critics under the Sedition Act hundreds of years ago. There is no justification at all for this latest tyrannical overreach, and these baseless charges against Rep. McIver must be dropped. Just disgusting that this is going on in America.

You can file an anonymous complaint directly on the GAO site. In the spot that asks when this occurred, put May 3, 2025, which is when the AP reported that army's confirmation that the parade would take place. (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/army-confirms-military-parade-for-its-250th-anniversary-will-be-held-on-trumps-birthday)

To file a complaint directly: https://gao-fais.entellitrak.com/etk-gao-fais-prod/page.request.do?page=page.efileConfidentialNoRestrictionComplainantForm

I suggested that since the parade doesn't benefit the American people directly, 47 could pay for the parade himself, perhaps with help from his friends.

I'm making the calls, sending the ResistBot letters, and doing whatever else I can to oppose Sleepy Don and his clique, but it is annoying that the first response from every Democrat to any incident that occurs is to send emails and texts begging for money. As a matter of principle, I don't donate to people I can't vote for but even if I did, this constant stream of pleas is annoying at best and reeks of weakness and a lack of focus. Democrats, especially the expensive consultants who keep running losing campaigns, need to understand that, at some point, the faucet will be turned off and the desire to fight will die.

If would be beyond interesting to hear the 16 Senators explain their votes publicly for the record, especially Cory Booker who, as far as I'm concerned, has just torpedoed any chance he had of being a viable candidate for the Presidency.

I want to share a tiny ray of light: I just heard from a friend who lives in deep red rural Indiana. She just saw a big billboard that said “Nobody Elected Elon Musk!!!” Hopefully there’s a lot of buyer’s remorse out there. I made my calls, which always feels good. Thanks for all that everyone is doing!

Public health concern: Markary and Prasad are going to restrict access to covid vaccines to over 65 and high risk, doing an end run around the vaccine expert committees. Without universal health care, this unilateral move will decrease access, increase cost and not allow household members of high risk people to access vaccines. It's politics over public health. Please ask your senators to support actual public health.

About sending good wishes to Pres. Biden: If you send it in an envelope, it will be slowed down by the screening for anthrax powder, but if you send postcards, it won't take as much time as letters/cards in envelopes.

A little bit of good news, WA just passed their budget and avoided major cuts to services by increasing taxes on wealthy investor capital gains and large corporations. It also taxes electric vehicle credits that are abused by Tesla. It's not a perfect budget, but way better than what could have been, and it took a lot of pressure on the legislature and governor to get it done. I'll take any win these days. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/ferguson-signs-9-billion-in-new-taxes-to-fund-state-budget/

Does anyone know what the hell is going on with Cory Booker? Not only voting for the GENIUS (ugh) Act, but for a convicted felon as Ambassador to France? I consider myself a constituent even though I don't live in NJ since I have no choice about his position in the caucus, so I can leave a message. Still, who can get this guy to show up consistently? I've called Schiff and Padilla with my "with friends like you we don't need enemies" speech. Retired Commander Bobby Jones of Veterans for Responsible Leadership (and now on Lincoln Square from time to time) has said that we simply can not assume we will win at the midterms without an actual party leader (and no it's not Kamala with those annoying donation requests for the DNC--bless her, but she needs to speak to us more transparently). These inconsistent votes are not helping. As far as I know, Chris Murphy is the only Dem who's apologized for voting for tRump's nominees.

I am so pissed at Schiff - ever since he threw Katie Porter under the bus to secure his spot in the Senate. I had just started trusting him again after his lousy voting record at the start of this term and then he votes for the GENIUS act of all things. I believe - and I’ve met the man in a personal setting - that he did it so he, too, can take bribes. As horrible as it is, it makes sense to me. I don’t know what’s up with Cory Booker. But he has certainly tanked any momentum he had after his filibuster speech.

Ugh ugh ugh is all I have to say right now. It’s my last day of vacay and I’ve been just peripherally paying attention to everything going on but I’m super pissed about the Rep McIver charges even though we knew that was coming. And about Sen Booker’s GENIUS act vote (& the 15 others…I mean they have us fooled pretty damn good, don’t they?). And I just read from AP that this admin will no longer approve covid vaccines for Americans under 65. More choice being taken away. I mean I haven’t personally chosen to get one since 2022 but everyone should have that choice. I’m so so angry. Meanwhile, my other Sen voted no on GENIUS so I’ll call him from the beach to say good job & will call booker when I calm down. Thank you for the update, Jessica.

It wouldn’t be too much for me to handle if it weren’t for the Dems who simply don’t give a damn what we think. I don’t feel like we have anywhere to turn. They are NOT listening.
