Essence of Jess -- keeper quotes -- THANK YOU! ...

"I encourage you to attend as many such events—let’s call them “hope-raisers”— as you can. I truly believe exposure to such is medicinal.

"But it’s also tactical. Hope makes us stronger humans, more nimble thinkers, and better fighters.

"So let’s seek out hope wherever we can find it, while also taking action to make more!"

Thanks for sharing the link to the SURJ webinar! I'm a member of Louisville SURJ (LSURJ) and we are working hard & collaborating with stakeholders on reducing the harm being done to our friends and neighbors in KY. Next week we will be engaged in action at the Jefferson County (Louisville) school board to insist that they Do Not Comply with the recent anti-trans bill (SB 150). We will not sit idly by while our trans youth are under attack. The right is already attacking Gov Andy Beshear (D) for his veto of the anti-trans legislation. He will need all of our support to win in November!

When we get a disappointing response from a Republican legislator in response to a call, does it do any good to respond to the email, do you think?

I’m irritated at a response from Wesley Hunt (TX) about assault weapons.

Thank you for all you do!

Jessica - PLEASE tell your readers to write the New York Times about it’s horrible reporting on the No Labels Party --repeatedly characterizing it as “centrist” etc when it is funded by Harlan Crow and the Koch Brothers and clearly created to peel off Dem voters from Biden. It is shocking the Times did this. Robert Hubbell talks about this in depth today. We need to deal with this threat. Thanks for all you do.
