Yes yes.... follow Simon Rosenberg. Great analysis every day of polls and all manner of variables. I don't worry about polls ever, anymore because of reading HOPIUM CHRONICLES And he always ends with "Worry less, DO more".

For easy reference, here is Simon's post today:

Right at the top he has a link to his Saturday post which is phenomenal. Combined with Jess's excellent work, Simon is essential for my mental health. Plus, I just got an email that 200 postcards have been mailed to me by Postcards to Swing States!

Well said as always. Not to mention the fact that the polls were predicting a red wave in 2022, and that didn't even happen a little bit 😅 that's when I stopped paying attention to the polls, I'm sure they're doing what they can to be correct but it doesn't work. And Democrats have only been winning more since then. Those polls don't scare me

I learned about Simon Rosenberg only shortly before the 2022 election. I came to say he cured me of a bad case of RWF -- Red Wave Fatalism. 😉

You go Jessica! For the first time, I listened to your recording while reading. You have voice, tone, inflection nailed. Many of us read lots of Substacks and it’s easy to stay in our heads too much. The listening while reading perks me up. 🙏

I like listening to Heather Cox Richardson's and Robert Hubbell's Substack recordings as well.

Oh good! I hope the crackle wasn't too unbearable. I think it's a Substack issue and will be recording with a different software tomorrow.

Jessica gives us excellent actions to take every day.

My group Markers For Democracy is also working every day. If you are looking for something to do to distract you from the polls here’s lots to choose from!

I'm ignoring the polls. There are so many things more deserving of our attention, such as the many actions Jessica suggests. I just signed the Women's March letter and signed up for a session with The Media and Democracy Project.

I'm with you, Fran-Michelle! Ignoring the polls and placing my attention, inasmuch as I can, on action. Also signed the Women's March letter. And confirmed 'for a session with The Media and Democracy Project,' tonight's actually. It's been on my calendar (most likely signed up given a prior mention by Jessica) though your comment caused me to check my SPAM folder for the confirmation and zoom detail information. TY!

Polls don't survey 18 to 30 year olds and anyone else who doesn't answer their land line.

Polls actually do survey 18-30-year-olds.Also,those who don’t answer/have a landline.

Pew Research Poll of 8709 adults ➡️Broad Public Support for Legal Abortion Persists 2 Years After Dobbs

The graph under Overall Attitudes About Abortion shows that polling starts at 18.

Under Methodolgy:

“Panelists who do not have internet access at home are provided with a tablet and wireless internet connection”

As others here, I follow Simon Rosenber/Hopium Chronicles. As Kate commeneted above, he provides great analysis of the polls and all the variables, combined with a dose of positivity and calls to action. Hopium Chronicles is the perfect complement to Jess’ (almost) daily action items. They both rock !💙

Polls don't vote.

But if you're counting polls, how about the fact that AP VoteCast found 20% of GOP caucus goers in Iowa, plus 34% of GOP primary voters in New Hampshire & 25% in South Carolina, all said they were so dissatisfied with Tr*mp—they would NOT vote for him in the general! And just last week, 22% of Indiana's GOP primary voters chose a person who hasn't been running since March -- Nikki Haley!

Skip the 'pollercoaster' and avoid catching 'mad poll' disease; roll up your sleeves and do the work.

Because, when we vote -- we win.

I'll ignore the polls, though it does have some good news as Simon Rosenberg pointed out, Biden is up among LIKELY voters. And that lead is more than Trump's lead among all and registered voters.

This time in the 2012 campaign Romney was ahead of Obama. In 2022 there was supposed to be red wave.

For the 3rd consecutive election, Trump will lose the popular vote.
