We are a very small Kansas town compared to the huge cities that had May Day protests, but we were happy to have our 48 courageous souls protesting in small town Kansas along Highway 54!
Thank them! We've seen many 1-3 person demonstrations on streetcorners, medians and highways, both rural and urban, throughout the past 8 years. They've repored support from passersby and drivers as well - on at least one occasion parkng their car to join them!
We were about 75 in Townsend, MA. Yeah, a few rude gestures from Trumpers, but overwhelmingly supportive yelling and honking by about a 4-1 margin, and this is a red town!
Not that I'm aware of. They had a pride event a few years ago. Many people claimed this was their first protest (and some their first since the 70s). The suburbs are waking up!
Nothing was planned for May Day in our area, so I held my own day of action. I baked some cookies and invited some friends for a postcard afternoon. We wrote over 50 postcards to remind registered Democrats to renew their vote-by-mail status. I plan to do this again and increase the guest list.
I went to 2 rallies today. One in Hartford CT during the morning work hours where about 300 people showed up and the second in New Haven CT where a couple of thousand people showed up(at least) They had speakers from the unions, the Poor People’s Campaign, etc. Speakers were loud and motivating. Lots and lots of young people. We marched the city streets for an hour and we were loud! Was refreshing to be in the minority as a senior 😀
Our small town in NENC had about 60 people rally with signs at our downtown park this afternoon. Lots of encouragement from passersby in their cars! We are already planning to do it again!
Over 300 marching to a rally of around 450 (including marchers) in Bethlehem PA! It was about 3/4 mile over the bridge to the north side. Much honking and very few single digit salutes.
The energy was good and the marchers excited to be there.
We all discussed how to kick it up a couple notches - more to come!
I attended my third rally since April 5th, in Holliston MA. Great people, energy and signs, and music. Lots of thumbs up and cheers from cars passing by, as before.
Unfortunately, I was driving today to catch a flight to head out of town for the weekend so wasn’t able to participate in any of the Mayday activities. however on my drive, I saw several bridge overpasses with people protesting with signs saying dump Trump and many other signs. Protests are alive and well here in Northern California..
Sounds like your day was action packed! Thank you for all you do! I went to a rally at the NH Statehouse in Concord late this afternoon and it was a large, energetic crowd with multiply speakers and live music in between. If I had to guess crowd size I would say there were at least a thousand people there, possibly more. Lots and lots of signs, yet I didn't manage to get any photos (I brought a drum instead of a sign this time).
Re Social Security systems- Most COBOL Programmers are retirees - the liberal patriots among us might be able to help when and if needed for the social security issues (even if it has been a while). In Newberg Oregon we had about 15 respectful protesters at our town flagpole and saw decent support here in our red to purple town ~ it seems important for neighbors to see neighbors.
Use this spreadsheet to call/email/write any of our representatives as often as possible. Not just your own state reps, reach out to those in other states. Be as loud as you can and share this. Use your voice and make some “good trouble.”

Excellent rally and march in Seattle under clear blue skies! Good sized crowd and cooperative community spirit.

That’s fantastic. One of my signs says Mad as hell? Join us !
150 pp. in Sun City AZ….a very red area… lots of horns honking in support!💪💙🇺🇸
We had 200 people in Fountain Hills! A few trumpers yelling at us, but more supportive honks and waves! 💙💪

Awesome!
Nice!
300 people in little old Abington, PA. Including several first timers!
Love that the suburbs are doing local events. Did they ever have a May Day rally in Abington before?

I was there in New Haven too. Very well organized. Many speakers- all brief and to the point. Large energetic crowd and march was led be a band!
That’s great!
Little Kona Hawaii has been having protests as well. We’ve had about 1500 attend, and lots of support from passers by. Off to do it again 👍
Had an amazing Day of Law action in Portland Maine with 600+ and also May Days strong March with 3000 many more protests across state 🥰

Our first protest in Solvang, CA. Over 100 people showed up and made people pay attention! Thanks to IndivisibleSYV and a great group of people.
