And many thanks to you for passing on so many "stories" from all corners of this country, that give us the information we need to "act on history" every day, and in so many ways. It is an honor to have worked with you these many months in this ongoing campaign to protect our democracy, and so much more. Thank you!

Hear, hear! I was referred to Chop Wood, Carry Water when I asked for resources that provided action items along with legislative information. So glad to have landed here with those, particularly Jessica, "perform[ing] quiet heroics to help advance what is right."

Hi Jessica, I love your good news posts and you action posts. I have a friend, a native Spanish speaker who would like to help reach out to Spanish speakers in swing states. Which organizations can she reach out to?

Hmmm I believe Grassroots Dems HQ has Spanish-language phonebanks. She should sign up here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd13Vxq40XlP4Aj-nm06haxxrpjR9MEpXcB-I1k9Zmm_vKIqg/viewform

Aside from that, thank you for all you do! You are amazing. You are a tremendous help to keeping democracy afloat in a Tsunami of bad actors.

I admire greatly your insights and description of the recycling of the balances of power in American History and human history. But especially your optimism that the arc bends toward justice. Pogo told us the reason for this: "We have met the enemy and he is us". You enable the soldiers for justice also to be us. Thank you.

Do be wary of making a total villain out of Machiavelli. "The Prince" is his book. Remember that his premise in every conflict was that the Prince should do everything possible to turn any potential enemy into a active ally. Yes, his harsh solution then was to kill the enemy; the premise being that if the Prince only injured the enemy and family, they would survive to be worse enemies and more harm would accrue. It is sorta like home invasion defense; If you are not willing to kill the invader, leave your firearm stored; it is not for threatening; you are more likely to have it taken and you be killed with it. Love, Doc

I need to re-read the Prince.

Thanks Jessica for all you do!

But I can't really sign on to today's resistbot, because I don't listen to am radio (and especially not in my car). I do support keeping am radios in cars - but can't say that I'm a listener.

That's very honest of you.

AM radio is a dumpster fire of Fundamentalist Christians, and billionaire funded think tank talking points talk shows, such as those from the Heritage Foundation. Drive across the country and listen to AM radio. It is jaw dropping and terrifying. Our tax dollars are paying for numerous radio stations that host bad actors calling for Civil Wars and defense of Christian and Conservative Values. Again, terrifying. The quickest way to get people out of dangerous silos is for automakers to “save money” by not installing AM radio abilities.

Well, but it also the ONLY way many people can access emergency information. And I believe Democrats are starting to advertise there. From an equity and a strategic standpoint I think it's worth saving.

Dear gentle fellow commenter, consider using ‘propaganda mills’ in place of think tanks when referring to right wing organizations!

I think my Dem representative is great but was dismayed to see the resistbot “reviews” are just people venting. I don’t think the world needs yet another internet comment section devoid of nuance where people only voice their displeasure.

I'll share the feedback with the Resistbot team.
