Hi, all, and happy Thursday. So the bad news is that Republicans passed their terrible, awful, not-so-good spending plan yesterday. The vote would have been unanimous, but four Republicans voted against it because—and I kid you not—it didn’t go far enough
As a way to share with CWCW folks this very encouraging 11-minute video of Representatives Zooey Zephyr, Maxwell Frost and Justin Jones, here's what I sent this morning to my 25 and 23 YO children:
Yesterday I called and twice emailed the Montana Speaker of the House to tell him to let Representative Zephyr speak. If you want to take similar action, there are details below my signature.
Note: Yesterday afternoon, as you probably heard, the Republican supermajority voted to punish Representative Zephyr. Still, it's good to communicate our outrage.
The video above is really, really good. These are your peers.
For older people who can see clearly, your generation is bringing forth a better world.
