Hi, all, and happy Thursday. Kevin McCarthy released the GOP’s “budget plan,” such as it is, last night. If budgets are moral documents, then it’s clear the GOP has lost every shred of humanity they had left—if, in fact, they had any to begin with. They also seem hellbent on driving away as many young voters as possible—you literally couldn’t design a document to be more antagonistic to Gen Z’s priorities than this one.

The GOP does seem to be increasingly bad at politics - which heartens me daily. With every one of their idiotic mistakes, and their complete ignoring of anything that would attract young people, I feel more and more encouraged about the future. Let's hope they select Trump or DeSantis for their presidential candidate ... rather than a moderate who could spell more trouble for us. :)
I've signed up for a call shift, thank you. Any idea if they plan to make calls for Donna Deegan in Jacksonville FL? I've been asking the various groups I volunteer with and so far nobody seems to be doing a phonebank for her.
I don’t think that the GOP plan as outlined by McCarthy is devious. It’s straight out flat finger in your face fuck you I don’t know which is worse his abject stupidity, or his abject cruelty.
