Don’t you think it would be better to hear the particulars of the shooting in Kansas City before demanding prosecution? All shootings are not crimes. All interactions between races are not racially motivated. Facts should be gathered before you demand a particular action. Justice comes from not prejudging the facts.
This situation seems extremely clear. As someone who canvasses regularly the idea that someone can be shot for simply knocking on a door is horrifying. Also as we have seen cases like this aren’t pursued often, so we are trying to preempt another white man (and the shooter was white) from literally getting away with murder.
You're quite correct, and it will be interesting to see how either the DA or the alleged shooter explains firing twice at a child who knocked on someone's door by mistake.

So horrifying, edit: Shooter fired through a glass door first hitting the child's head then the second shot hitting the child's arm. That child will never be the same again, even if he makes a full physical recovery.
