Hey, everyone.

Today’s my day “off” from the newsletter, so I’m sending a couple of important odds and ends and then heading off to record my podcast.

I hope you found a way to get through last night with a minimum of distress. We’ll discuss more tomorrow. For today if you want to make calls please either recycle the Social Security call from yesterday or find any number of excellent scripts at 5 Calls!

Help with a last minute fundraiser! 😬

I have been offered a very generous 20K match from a subscriber in order to raise critically-needed money for the Movement Voter Project’s “Comeback Campaign.” If you don’t know MVP they are one of the organizations I recommend before all others for giving money to. They raise funds for the best grassroots orgs out there, investing strategically in the frontline groups working to protect communities, block MAGA, and plant the seeds to win back power in 2026 and beyond.

Anyway, the match is for 20K and I was supposed to have 2 weeks to raise it, but because I’m so behind on emails—it’s really becoming a problem—I dropped the ball and now there’s only a week.

If you’re feeling motivated, or angry, or scared and you have money to give, this is the place to give it. I’m not sure if I can raise 20K that quickly, but I’m going to try, because things are nuts and the work MVP does is the only thing that could save us.

Tonight, DNC Chair Ken Martin, Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Members of the House Democratic Caucus will convene Democrats nationwide for a National Update and Call to Action.

This is a critical moment to unite, hear key updates, and take action—and they’d love for you to be part of it. I’m hoping it won’t just be boilerplate, and we’ll actually hear a plan…fingers crosse!

Be Visible!

One of the best groups I know doing regular protests is the Visibility Brigade in Paramus, New Jersey. They do new overpass signage every week. This latest message—see below—is in response to Musk’s attacks on Social Security.

Remember how Anat Shenker Osorio urged us to do public displays so people realize they’re not alone? This is a perfect example of that. Even better, the folks at VB have put together a toolkit so you, too, can form an overpass team. Find it here. Still feeling hesitant? LOOK HOW MUCH FUN THEY’RE HAVING!
