So sad that nothing has changed since Sandy Hook. I just don't have the words. But I can take some of the actions you posted today, and keep working on saving democracy.
Oh Jessica, I hadn't heard yet. I'm grateful that I learned of this horror in the context of your newsletter - and your essential message of "moving through" whatever is happening. I think of each of these dear children as martyrs to the cause of this democracy we are working to "Keep. Building." And we will not let them have died in vain. Thanks again for all you do. Reader Cathleen D.'s comment is so valuable. I get similar perspective from you, Jess, and the inimitable Rebecca Solnit -- for example, her Hope in the Dark.
"Please reject Homeland Security's proposed rule, which rule is in violation of international human rights agreements to which the United States is party. By Article VI part 2 of the US Constitution, these agreements supersede all other levels of laws and regulations in our country. The United States does not need one more way to be an international outlaw."
As for common sense gun reforms, on 3/26/23 the Colorado House passed two significant bills. I hope that by the time of your Sunday Good News Roundup, Jess, these bills will have been signed into law and can be included.
(On FB and telling family and friends about your Extra! Extra!, I'm calling it "Jess's Good News Roundup"...)

That's all we can do. Thanks, Janice.

Yeah--it's time for me to pull that book back out again.
YAHOO. Two cheers for the democratization of gun violence
Two recent, school, gun killing outbursts have been committed
one, by a black man (Denver, Colo.) and the second a woman
(Nashville, Tenn.)
How long will it be before Clarence Thomas remembers his
ORIGINAL well regulated militia was all white, all male
and/or
how much more non-male, non- white killers is all
that NRA $$ gonna tolerate ??
John G.
Really well said John and a great question in conclusion.
On border policy, I submitted this comment.

Oh thank you so much for that! And I'll keep an eye out for the CO laws.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jessica.
Thank YOU! Your newsletter is such a great resource.
