Jessica I know this is a lot of work, and I want to share my gratitude for your energy and passion that you share every day 🤗

To Jessica’s point on Tesla drivers, many of them are planning on getting rid of their vehicle but have payments to make on them. I have a few friends who have a Tesla and their lease isn’t up until later this year. So yes, let’s be kind to Tesla owners/drivers as they do not deserve our retribution. Remember, Elon Musk and the company itself are our focus. 🧘

In regard to the security leak, Mike Johnson’s attitude and commentary on the situation is absurd. He, like many of the GOP, continue to lie and downplay the gravity of what is a major security scandal and huge risk to our country. I have called his office numerous times in the past months, but yesterday I become so fed up with his constant lying I left a scathing message with his staff. He is another member of congress that needs to be forced to resign.

Getting rid of my Tesla does *nothing* to Elon Musk. My car is paid for. Selling it at a depressed price is foolish. It costs me close to nothing to drive as I charge at home (full solar coverage) 95% of the time. I understand the rage at Musk. I have it, too. Taking it out on Tesla owners, or suggesting they should do something financially foolish, is focusing energy in the wrong direction.

My family is in a similar situation with four teslas all proudly purchased years ago as a small way of supporting renewable energies. We believed it was the best option on the market at the time. We will be moving away from the Tesla brand as soon as economically feasible.

The next car I purchase will be an EV but it will not be a Tesla (unless Musk is out of the picture, which seems unlikely at the moment.)

Ultimately, it is the owners decision. I am not forcing people to get rid of their Tesla or shaming them for owning one. My energy has been focused on the brand itself. After all, no one could’ve predicted the behavior of Elon Musk. As an owner, no one is at fault. As so many have stated, those who bought a Tesla thought they were helping the environment and reducing their impact on climate change.

Agreed, there is no reason to take out the anger and frustration against Musk on Telsa owners. And as you put it, many that own a Tesla are just as upset at Musk.

I'm thinking this speech could be the one that earns Mike Johnson a complaint to the bar. Thoughts?

https://x.com/Acyn/status/1904545505050497414

“We do have authority over the federal courts, as you know. We can, we can eliminate an entire district court. We have power of funding over the courts, and all these other things,” Johnson said. “But, um, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Congress is going to act.”

Yes, I did see him make that statement. And what in his mind is a desperate time? I assume he means by the minority lead that the GOP hang on by; that would be the logical conclusion. The idea that he would float something so absurd and dangerous doesn’t surprise me though, after all he is Trump’s boot lick.

I get the feeling they think there are no more outside enemies of the US, since we’re now on Putin's side of everything. So why bother with secure communications…

Just called Mike Roger's and left Jessica's script on a voicemail. Called Roger Wicker's DC office and actually got a person. She took the message and said she would get it to him. Calling my "3 stooges" (Gym Jordan, Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted, unfortunately from Ohio) tomorrow with the same message since I already called them today on another subject they will absolutely ignore. Just have to keep the pressure on.

Thanks Susan, a lot of good people here, used to be at least a purple state. Extreme gerrymandering started by John Boener in 2010 started us on the slide to where we are. Extreme, and now illegal gerrymandering gave us Gym Jordan, although our representative before him wasn't much better.

It doesn't hurt to let Merley and Wyden know that you support their actions! They're probably getting lots of flak from the other side.

Thanks for your commitment. I reached out to Mike Rogers, only to have the person answering the call, hang up on me after I talked for 30 seconds. I immediately called him back and told him not to hang up on people and to please listen. He said "I'm the only one here and I'm getting 20 calls every minute....

Yeah, just called Mike Rogers’ 334 number, and spoke to someone….I added the reminder of how many investigations were done on Hillary’s emails, which was insignificant compared to this breach. Could only leave a message on the other numbers, but did that, too.

Another salient difference between Hegseth and Hillary besides gender? Hegseth has those awesome tattoos so we know we can trust him to valiently defend our country.

Additionally, from what I understand, Hillary‘s email server was not illegal. What these folks did was clearly illegal from the get-go and prosecutable.

Thank you for providing updates on what is happening under the current administration, ways to engage in protesting against these treasonous attacks by the current administration, and moments of decent actions by citizens of this country. Yours are the most helpful and positive news letters of the ones I receive. You keep me motivated with actions I can both do and share with friends. Again, thank you.

Thank you, Jess. Called them all. Got through or left messages for my own reps. Couldn't get through to Rogers or either of the committees.

Does the niceness request apply to Cybertruck owners? I've heard that Elon's politics were clear by the time those began to be sold, is that correct?

Love, love, love the billboards!!

Ditto. His staff member told me that because I was not from Alabama and "probably reading from a script," that she didn't have to take my call. I told her I was an American who was concerned about the security of our service members and our nation as a whole, and she hung up on me.

I got angry when someone used the excuse that all the letters they got on some topic were the same and they must be bots or something, so they would disregard them, but they were from a politcal website I was using. So I always switch it up a bit. And i can't help but ask if they are devoid of any humanity.. or are neuralinked, or afraid of their base or their boss..That's kind of ad libbing, but I also tell them I am worried about them.

Thank you for speaking out about demonizing Tesla drivers! As an organizer of a Tesla takedown in DC, we know that behavior only distracts from our agenda and keeps us small. It's also incredibly privileged to expect someone to sell a depreciating asset or for Uber drivers who get insurance discounts. Tesla Takedown is more than Elon’s $$. It gives people the opportunity to come together & build a movement to defeat fascism.

I’ve had to take a step back from calling my senators and a lot of the news. It has taken too much of my focus from my graduate studies. If I am going to fight I need to have my education so I can fight from another angle. I have been sending resist bots. I feel bad because I do not think enough NYer’s are calling schumer and Gillibrand.

Just an FYI, when I called the Mike Rogers office, the staffer who answered the phone interrupted me about 5 words into the script and asked in a snarky tone...is this the script from Chop Wood, Carry Water? She said she had the script in front of her and didn't need to hear what I had to say. I admit I didn't handle it very well, a lesson for future calls when I get push back. I should have just asked that she not interrupt me and that it was my right to leave the message whether she had heard it 100 times today. Ugh.

The Houthi leak is outrageous. Also, I believe it would be important to mention that acts of war are supposed to be voted on by Congress, and the fact that they are not is extremely dangerous and undemocratic.
